Summary

OneMarvel Rivalsfan claims to have shared a Celestial lobby with someone who has spent over 100 hours playing as only Jeff the Land Shark in the popular hero shooter. With Season 1: Eternal Night Falls coming to a close, many gamers are already counting down to Season 2 ofMarvel Rivals, which is rumored to release on April 11.

Jeff the Land Shark is one ofMarvel Rivals' most approachable Strategists, as his ability to lay down a continuous healing spray is forgiving when it comes to aiming. In addition, the hero can place down bubbles that provide allies with both healing and a boost to their speed. His ultimate ability has the potential to be devastating, as it allows him to swallow up every character within a wide radius. While captured, Jeff’s allies heal while enemies take damage. It’s a common strategy for players to use this power to send their foes off the edge of a map by spitting them out at the right time.

In a recent post on Reddit, NickSaibot claimed that they ran into another player in a Celestial rank lobby who had only ever playedMarvel Rivals' Jeff the Land Shark. As of writing, the gamer has managed to play over 100 hours of the popular hero shooter without ever touching another character. NickSaibot commended the person’s dedication to playing the Strategist, especially since it would seem as if they had never even tried another option. Many fans joked that they had found the one true Jeff the Land Shark and that he must be protected at all costs.

Marvel Rivals Fan Spends 100 Hours Exclusively Playing Jeff the Land Shark

Unfortunately, not everyone was so positive about the person exclusively playing one ofMarvel Rivals' popular Strategists. Some were quick to point out that it would be unlikely for the player to always choose Jeff before anyone else. They also suggested that the person would also likely have encountered games where Jeff had been banned from play, especially since they reached Celestial rank. In these cases, the person would have had to drop out of the match, since they definitely didn’t pivot to playing another hero. However, there’s no way of knowing if (or how much) something like this may have happened. No matter how unlikely, it’s certainly possible the player has managed to play Jeff without ever dropping from a match intentionally.

Reaching Celestial rank is quite an achievement for any gamer, as it was recently revealed that over 100,000players are stuck at Bronze 3 inMarvel Rivals. While this is somewhat surprising, ranking up can take a lot of time and dedication. Many people also claim to have given up in frustration, blaming matchmaking for placing them with poor teammates over highly skilled enemies. Despite these issues, many players seem to be enjoying their time withMarvel Rivalsand are eager to see what NetEase Games does next.
