Season one finished with 13 episodes, and an incredibly high rating of 8.40 on MyAnimeList and 8.1 on IMDB, along with a 75% approval rating from Google users. These are very high scores for an anime, especially one with only 13 episodes so far, showing just how many peopleenjoyed watching it last season.

Medalist Season Two Has Been Confirmed

Production For Medalist Season 2 has Begun

The good news forMedalistfans is that the anime’s high performance is likely to thank for it already beinggreen-lit for season two. The trailer that came out over the weekend announced in its title on YouTube that production had already begun on the next season as well, so it may not be too long before an air date is shared - and for the anime itself to be released.

The new trailer serves more as a celebration than anything else; it does not have any new animation, but rather is a conglomeration of scenes from the first season. It is a nice trip down memory lane for fans, though, who can relive some of the best moments from season one while also knowing that more is on its way.

Medalist’s official X channel also posted a new visual, featuring all the anime’smain characters skating togetheron the ice. The visual is also meant to be a celebration of the announcement of season two as well, though at least with new art.
