Oricalcite is a type of ore that players will need to stock up on once they reach the endgame inMonster Hunter Wilds.It may not be used for crafting equipment, but hunters will need lots of them if they want toreinforce their Artian weapons.
Unlike other metals, players won’t be able to get Oricalcite just by mining some mineral spots in the world. The process here is a little less involved, though you can still expect to do a lot of grinding.
Best Way to Get Oricalcite in Monster Hunter Wilds
The most reliable way to get Oricalcite isvia endgame melding in the Everforge. Players can go to the Smelting Foundry in Azuz (Oilwell Basin village) and convert unwanted monster parts into Oricalcite and other materials.
The “endgame” part is important to note here. If you want to get a lot of Oricalcite at once, you’ll want to meld rare monster dropslike Wyvern Gems. These convert into hundreds of points for Oricalcite Melding, and you can get up to 1000 points at once forconverting an Arkveld Gem.
Other Apex Monster gems reward 800 Points.
Such rare monster parts are used for many high-rarity weapons and armor. Take a look at the Smithy’s offerings, and craft what you want first. If you’re sure you don’t need any more surplus gems, feel free to toss them into the Everforge.
You’ll get Oricalcite and other special ores from the Everforge passively over time. Speak with Nata at Base Camp, then select the Festival Shares option to claim all the materials the folks at Azuz have sent you.
Best Way to Get Monster Gems
If you’re looking to get as many rare monster drops as possible,open your map and check the available Investigations.By pressing Square/X while viewing your map, you’ll open the Environment Overview menu, which will show all monsters in your region.
The Environment Overview menu additionally shows players what extra rewards they can get from hunting monsters, and occasionally, a monster with a guaranteed gem reward will appear. you may post a quest from the Environment Overview menu itself, or you can save a specific monster investigation for laterby spending Guild Points.
To maximize the odds of getting a rare monster drop, you can use Lucky Vouchers. These willdouble your hunt rewards, increasing your chances of getting a gem after a monster is slain or captured.
How to Use Oricalcite
As mentioned, Oricalcite is a rare material used to reinforce Artian Weapons. You use them by visiting the Smithy and selecting the Reinforce/Dismantle Artian Weapons option.
From this menu, you’ll see a list of all the Artian Weapons you currently own. Select one, then you’ll be given the option to choose what kinds of minerals you use for the reinforcement process.
Oricalcite offers the most upgrade points per piece. Once you start crafting Rarity 8 Artian Weapons, Oricalcite will be your main upgrade material since each upgrade tier requires thousands of points.
