Monster Hunter Wilds Doshaguma Attack Patterns

InMonster Hunter Wilds, the first step to defeating a monster is figuring out its attack patterns. Monsters have a set of moves that they will use to take players down, and Doshaguma’s attacks are telegraphed well ahead of time, making it easy for players to dodge through them anddefeat the beastas long as they keep a keen eye.

Here are all of Doshaguma’s attacks inMonster Hunter Wilds:

Ground Slam

The Doshaguma stands up on its rear legs and takes a brief pause. After that, it slams toward the ground with both arms. Alternatively, the monster can also use a single arm for this slam, which you canguard for a Power Clash. The best way to deal with this attack is to dodge to the side or backwards to get out of range.

Sometimes, you’ll see a weak point on the monster’s belly as it’s about to do its Ground Slam attack. If you’re quick enough, you’re able to get a Focus Attack in to deal massive damage and break its belly wound.

Arm Slam and Throw

This is a combo attack that starts with a Ground Slam. After the slam attack, the Doshaguma will dig its arms underground and hurl rocks that can damage the hunter. This attack has a massive AOE, but it’s well-telegraphed. You can get behind the Doshaguma to avoid damage. However, dodge rolling backward will cause you to get hit.

Shoulder Bash

The Doshaguma slams its head on the ground and drags it forward, bashing the hunter along its path. Dodging diagonally towards the monster helps to avoid taking damage.

Bite Attack

The Doshaguma opens its mouth and, after a brief pause, rushes forward to bite the hunter. Dodge diagonally in the monster’s direction to avoid taking damage.

Circular Sweep

The Dosahguma swipes its arms and does a complete turn in its spot. Since the attack has a large sweep, you’ll want to back away to safety.

Claw Attack

Throughout the fight, the Doshaguma will use its left or right arm to sweep at players in front. You can guard it for a Power Clash or dodge roll to get behind the monster.

The Doshaguma also has a Minor Roar and Minor Tremor attack that can temporarily immobilize the player. Minor Roar is countered by the Earplugs skill, while Minor Tremor is countered by Tremor Resistance.

Monster Hunter Wilds Doshaguma Weaknesses

At first glance, Doshaguma may seem intimidating to series initiates. However, like anyother beast inMonster Hunter Wilds, Doshaguma has its fair share of weaknesses that you can exploit to gain an edge in battle.

Doshaguma’s primary weak point is its head, where it takes the most damage from both blunt and severing weapons. How to Beat Doshaguma in Monster Hunter Wilds

Besting the Doshaguma inMonster Hunter Wildsrequires you to first understand its moveset. Although it’s an intimidating foe early on, its attacks aren’t all that fast, so you’ll have plenty of time to dodge as long as you don’t overextend. It can be tempting to go in with multiple attacks any time you see an opening. However, the best way to beat the Doshaguma is to take things slow and back away after a few hits.

The best place to attack the monster is its head. It has the highest attack damage modifier, and you may also create wounds that you can use for Focus Attacks. However, it can be difficult to dodge its attacks when you’re always trying to strike its head.

Instead, you should focus on its front and rear limbs. Eventually, you’ll create wounds that you can use to inflict big damage and potentially stagger the monster. Once that happens, whip out your strongest attacks to deal as much damage as possible.

You canalso mount the Doshagumaif you may jump on it from above to create wounds on its back.
