How Does Material Retrieval Work in MH Wilds
In earlierMonster Huntergames, players were given a literal farm (or some other alternative) where they could grow or get their own resources. InWilds, the people of the Forbidden Lands will be the ones doing the gathering for you. They will give you materials over time— all you have to do is tell them if you have any item preferences.
The most convenient way to interact with the Material Retrieval mechanic is tospeak with Nata. From his menus, you canclaim materials and set your preferred items for the next batch of collection.
The amount of materials a villager collects depends on their location and the current season. For example, Apar from Suja can collect plenty of Mandragora during Season of Plenty. If you request Mandragoras from here during Season of Inclemency, you’ll receive far less items than usual.
Seasonal yields shouldn’t be much of an issue as players can always rest at their tent to pass the time. Speaking of passing time, your Material Retrieval boxes will fill up every time you rest. If you can’t wait to get more resources, consider resting at your tent multiple times.
