Updated Jul 09, 2025 by Marc Santos:The release of Title Update 1 expanded the of MH Wilds by a fair bit — apart from the addition of new and more difficult monsters, the game also saw the return of Arena Quests, which challenge players to score the fastest clears possible against certain monsters using specific equipment sets. We’ve updated this guide to account for these additions.

When Does Endgame Start in Monster Hunter Wilds?

The endgame officially starts once you finish the main story quest (Chapter 3) andenter High Rank inMH Wilds. The story doesn’t quite end yet, though, as there are still three more post-campaign stories for players to complete. It’s safe to refer to this stage as the early endgame, as things will gradually start unlocking from hereon.

What To Do in MH Wilds Endgame

To summarize, the endgame inMonster Hunter Wildsboils down to the following:

First, we recommend that playersstill focus on doing the main chapter quests. Doing so will eventually unlock the rest of the available base game monsters and the final weapon tiers from the Smithy. You’ll have plenty of opportunities to farm monsters in between chapter quests, so don’t worry about being left behind in terms of gear.

MH Wilds Endgame Standby

Once you finish the full list ofmainMH Wildsstory quests, you’re free to do whatever you want. Every monster in the game should now be available either through random open world spawns or via Optional Quests. At this point, the only things left to chase are equipment and decorations, and considering the game’s drop rates, expect to do a lot of chasing.

Buildcrafting and Decoration Farming

Players can create builds that bring out the best in themany weapons types inMonster Hunter Wilds, and these are made by combining specific weapons and armor pieces with Decorations, items that provide passive skills when attached to equipment.

You can get Decorations by beating any High Rank monster, and you can get even more by using the Melding Pot in Suja. Don’t forget to do your daily bounties, as they sometimes reward Melding Tickets that can be converted into dozens of Decorations each.

The Player Equipping A Decoraiton Onto A Weapon

While you can hunt any monster using any decent set of gear, you’ll want a perfect build if you want to go up againstthe likes of Zoh Shiaand Arch-Tempered monsters.

Side Quests

SomeMH WIldsmechanics like Hunting Assistants and Palico Skills are locked behind side quests, and you can easily miss out on them if you aren’t paying attention. Also, some side quests (such as Razzle Dazzle) reward rare resources, including ingredlents likeJeweled Mullet Roe.

Layered Armor

Like in many other games, becoming the most fashionable player in the lobby is part of theMH Wildsendgame. You can do this by using the Layered Armor system, which is essentially a transmog system that lets players change their look without altering their build. The process involves beating High Rank monsters and crafting their armor sets.

Event Quests and Future Content

IfMH Wildsis going to be like the previous two games in the series, players can expect a wealth of content in upcoming Title Updates and expansions. Such updates often feature new monsters, equipment, locations, and even endings.

Also, expect to see somespecial Event Quests that change on a weekly basis. These often reward players with more Decorations, rare ingredients, and in the case of previous games, materials used for crafting special weapons and armor.

Arena Quests

Arena Quests inMH Wildsare essentially challenge quests where players fight monsters in the Wounded Hollow. Here, players compete against other hunters on who can score the fastest clear times possible using gear provided by the guild. These gear sets are usually non-optimal and, in some cases, outright bad, forcing players to be creative with how they approach and fight their target.

Completing Arena Quests won’t get you any monster parts. Instead, you’ll get special rewards like Arena Coins, Armor Spheres, and consumable items.
