A majorMortal Kombat 1update has been released to go with the new T-1000 playable guest character. The liquid metal killer fromTerminator 2: Judgment Dayis the latest in a series of classic movie characters to come toMortal Kombat 1, just after the masked Ghostface fromScreamand Conan the Barbarian. Just like these previousMortal Kombat 1guest combatants, the T-1000 is being adapted faithfully from his source material, down to original actor Robert Patrick leading his voice and digital likeness.

Fans have already gotten to see some of the T-1000’sMortal Kombat 1fighting style, along with some gruesome fatalities directly inspired byTerminator 2. There are also a few references to some of Robert Patrick’s other roles, including the time heshared the screen with John Cenaas Peacemaker’s father. Gamers won’t have to wait much longer to try out the dreaded T-1000 for themselves, as the robotic assassin is now available to those with Early Access. Everyone else will need to wait until the T-1000Mortal Kombat 1DLC launches in full on March 25.

Like allMortal Kombat 1guest charactersbefore it, the T-1000 is being added as part of a major update patch that will not only introduce the new character, but also bring a host of adjustments for other combatants. This update will also add Madam Bo, the kind yet tough restaurant keeper fromMortal Kombat 1’s main story campaign, as a new Kameo fighter that can help deliver devastating combos. Some of her moves have already been revealed, such as her gruesomely amusing Kameo Fatality.

As for the rest of theexistingMortal Kombat 1roster, the game’s latest update makes many attack adjustments for characters like Baraka, Johnny Cage, Kenshi, Kitana, Shang Tsung, and more. Some of the non-character fixes include an additional Ray Tracing Quality option that will optimizeMortal Kombat 1’s gameplay and graphics in the PC version of the game, along with improved stability and other valuable updates. The Nintendo Switch version ofMortal Kombat 1is also seeing improvements to certain graphical textures.

It isn’t clear if Madam Bo and the T-1000 are the last new additions toMortal Kombat 1’s character roster, asNetherRealm has yet to announce any further DLC charactersfor the game. In the meantime, a wave of character skins based on the upcomingMortal Kombat 2movie is coming in the future, offering up cinematic alternate looks for Johnny Cage, Shao Khan, and Katana.
