Summary

Mortal Kombat 1has finally revealed when the deadly T-1000 will arrive, complete with a look at the mechanical killer’s moveset and Fatality. Before it oozed its way intoMortal Kombat 1, movie audiences were first introduced to the T-1000 in 1991’sTerminator 2: Judgment Day, where it was sent back into the past to assassinate the future human resistance leader John Conner as a teen. Possessing a liquid metal body that can transform into anyone or anything, the T-1000 quickly became an iconic sci-fi villain and proved to be even more menacing than the original T-800 Terminator, who appeared as a guest fighter inMortal Kombat 11.

Just like it did in theTerminatormovies, the T-1000 would follow Arnold Schwarzenegger’s beloved cyborg assassin into the world ofMortal Kombataspart ofMortal Kombat 1’s Kombat Pack 2, complete with Robert Patrick reprising his nightmare-fueling role. PreviousMK 1gameplay trailers gave eager fans a glimpse at how the T-1000’s signature shape-shifting abilities would be translated into the game, alongside a look at a Fatality that pays homage to one ofTerminator 2’s most well-remembered scenes.

Mortal Kombat 1 T-1000 Release Dates

This is far from the T-1000’s only nod to the movie, as its standardMortal Kombat 1victory animation sees it shift into its fallen victim as itdid with many such characters inTerminator 2. It also does this for one of its Fatalities, in which it initially stabs its opponent in the eye with a liquid metal finger before impaling them in the mouth with a bladed arm and gruesomely tearing their body in two. The trailer then ends with a quick look at the T-1000’sMortal Kombat 1Animality, where it fittingly transforms into a German Shepard to maul its unlucky victim.

Throughout its latest showcase trailer, the T-1000 was joined by Madame Bo, who will also beadded toMortal Kombat 1as a Kameo Fighteron March 18. While the liquid metal Terminator eviscerates its targets, Bo causally assists with a few attacks of her own, knocking the opponent in the face with one of her shoes during the T-1000’s X-Ray move, then humorously trying to sweep away the gore after the machine’s Fatality. Both these characters will be available inMortal Kombat 1later this month.
