As the battle withShigaraki Tomura continued to rageon within U.A.’s Floating Fortress, the heroes that had been sent to battle Shigaraki faced an overwhelming defeat, even with Shigaraki’s Quirk being canceled thanks to Monoma Neito copying Eraser head’s Quirk: Eraser. Though it may have seemed all was lost as Bakugo continued to take powerful blows, which ended with his arm broken, Togata Mirio joined the fight midway through the battle.
Mirio had previously lost hisQuirk: Permeation, during the Shie Hassaikai arc and the battle with Overhaul, as he was struck by one of the Quirk-Destroying Bullets. However, after six months of training, Eri can use her Quirk: Rewind, to restore Mirio’s Quirk to his full capacity in Chapter 292. Mirio had not been part of the battle line-up tasked to defeat Shigaraki; instead, thanks to his mobility, Mirio was tasked to be a messenger and had bodyguard duty. However, due to the severity of the situation, Mirio joined the battle with Nejire and Tamaki, once again forming the Big Three.
I thought I felt him hesitate back there! … Still, we can’t stall him unless there’s a solid attack worth waiting for! That’s why…
In the confrontation with Shigaraki, Mirio successfully delayed the engagement by challenging Shigaraki’s motives, inquiring why he was exerting himself to annihilate everything in his vicinity, and asserting that it stemmed from Shigaraki’s lack of friendships. This assertion greatly astonished Shigaraki, who fervently proclaimed that he indeed had friends. Mirio’s strategy was to provide Tamaki sufficient time to execute hisUltimate Move: Vast Hybrid: Plasma Cannon;however, the impact was minimal.
Bakugo soon rejoins the battleand takes a devastating blow to the chest, which nearly causes Midoriya Izuku to rage. However, Mirio was able to calm the current One For All user down and stall enough time for Midoriya to rejoin and turn the tides of the battle, after which he attended to the injured.

As the foremost student at the school,Mirio, also known as Lemillion, delivered a formal address as the representative for the graduates. In contrast to his typical approach, he commenced his speech without a humorous anecdote, instead directly proceeding to a poignant reflection that summarized the events and expressed gratitude to the students who participated in the recent conflict.
Embodying the qualities of a true hero, Mirio concluded his address on an uplifting note, pledging to dedicate himself to becoming a hero and ensuring that everyone enjoys a life filled with joy. He silently imploredNighteye to watch over himas he embarked on his career as a Pro Hero. Consequently, the graduating third-year students exited with enthusiasm, poised to begin their new journey as heroes.
Eight years after the Final War and after Mirio graduated from U.A. High School, he became the Number 1 Pro Hero on theHero Billboard Chart JP. While Mirio is the top hero on the Hero Billboard Chart, Todoroki Shoto has recently become the Number 2 Pro Hero. Midoriya Izuku notes that the two would be battling “toe to toe” for the top spot.
After eight years as a Pro Hero, Mirio has become more muscular and now sports a pompadour hairstyle to suit his comedic personality. In Chapter 431, Mirio is seen with Tamaki and Nejire, assisting Uravity’s Quirk Counseling. Not much has changed about Mirio, as he still cracks jokes for everyone around him.
DespiteMirio’s status as the Number 1 Pro Hero, he exhibits a degree of concern regarding the interest the children at Uravity’s Quirk Counseling may have in him, revealing a slight insecurity about his ability to assist in her mission. During the counseling session intended to enhance the children’s communication skills, Mirio engages them in a game, challenging them to catch him, a task at which one of the students succeeds.
Consequently, the child who had previously demonstrated low self-esteem could forge friendships with his classmates, overcoming his fear of communication, resulting in a successful counseling outcome. Afterwards, Mirio plays with the children while Nejire and Tamaki converse with Uraraka and Tsuyu.

Deku has always idolized heroes like the number one hero, All Might, and since he was a child, he has always wanted to be a hero. However, his lack of a quirk has always held him back, but a chance encounter with All Might after discovering a classmate in danger sets Deku on the path to becoming a true hero. My Hero Academia centers around Deku and a class of heroes-in-training at UA. This school shapes young quirk users into future heroes through fake rescue missions, combat training, and other hero-tempering tasks. With young Deku inheriting the “One-For-All” quirk, he will learn what it means to be a true hero while facing off with dastardly supervillains.
