Elbaf has already been theOne Piecearc with arguably the most important and biggest reveals in the entire story so far. The biggest reveal came in the form of the Elbaf mural, which fans have called the most important lore drop that has ever occurred in the entireOne Piecestory. Although this mural unveiled a ton of information, it raised even more questions. However, one of the most damning pieces of evidence about this mural very likelyties into Luffy’s true dream, which fans had been theorizing about for quite a while. So, let’s see what it could be.

Going into the Elbaf arc, fans were convinced that nothing could possibly beat Egghead in terms of massive implications for the lore and importance in the overall story. However, despite being in its infancy,Elbaf has already surpassed its predecessorin the eyes of many, delivering some of the greatest reveals that have changed everything that the community has known about theOne Pieceworld.
The Elbaf mural was the greatest of these reveals, showing mysterious facets of history in a depiction that goes hand-in-hand with the Harley Texts. Together, they explain the previous two worlds as well as what is likely going to happen in the Third World as per the predictions of Joyboy and those in ancient times. While the true details of this mural are foggy, fans are convinced that the left side depicts either the Second World or the Third World. Either way, this is the key to understanding Luffy’s, Roger’s, and Joyboy’s shared dream.
The left side of the mural shows the Sun God surrounded by various figures of different races united against a giant, shadowy figure. It’s very clear that this is meant to represent the Final War of the series, where Luffy and all of his allies will go to war against theforces of Imu and the World Government. If this is the Second World, then the same thing could apply, showing that these are Joyboy and all of his allies united against Imu, the only difference here being the fact that they lost their fight, while Luffy is destined to win his.
Now, how does this connect to the shared dream of Luffy, Roger, and Joyboy? Well, this theory states that by depicting the Sun God surrounded by many allies of different races and backgrounds, the true dream of Luffy is uniting every single race and people on the planet so everyone can be free from all tyranny and subjugation, granting them the same freedom he himself craves by becoming the Pirate King. This united world would mean a great standard of living for everyone without the corrupt rule of the Celestial Dragons, which is even something that Luffy has outright stated to want before as well.
Hey Chopper! Examine his head!
This also goes along with the moment when Luffy admitted his dream to the Straw Hats, which was met with disbelief fromthe majority of the crew. That was because it was an incredibly unrealistic and far too optimistic dream to achieve, so the crew either laughed at it or scoffed at it, never really believing that something like that could ever even come to pass. To take it a step further, many even believe that Luffy wants to throw the biggest party in the world that just about everyone can attend, which works along with this perfectly.
However, we just simply don’t know what Roger’s or Joyboy’s dream was either, but knowing how all three of these characters are, it very nicely ties up to something each of them would want to happen. Roger was known to be the Pirate King and the chief enemy of the World Government in his time. Plus, he knew that he wasn’t the person Joyboy was waiting for, so he made sure that everything worked in place for Luffy to make this dream of a united world without any inequality come to fruition.
Why Luffy Is The One To Make This Dream Happen
The Inheritor Of Joyboy’s and Roger’s Will
The entire plan to overthrow the rule of the World Government has been prepared by Joyboy, who set all the pieces in place 800 years ago. This is why when the Roger Pirates completed their journey and found the One Piece treasure, they were unable to do anything about it, since Joyboy made it a point for the treasure to only work properly once the nextuser of the Nika fruit interacts with it.
This shows that the Nika fruit is at the center of everything in theOne Pieceworld, and that even if anyone else gets to the One Piece before Luffy, they likely won’t be able to do anything with it. Due to Luffy being the Sun God, he will be the only one who is able to make use of this treasure, completing the plan that Joyboy set into motion all those centuries ago.
One Piececan be streamed onCrunchyroll.
