Franky has proven to be quitean underrated character in Elbafso far, and that goes without saying. It is through this character that Oda has revealed some of the biggest plot twists in this arc. When the Straw Hat Pirates split up on Elbaf, Franky went with Ripley to travel across the Adam Tree, and this made a lot of sense, given that Franky is very interested in Adam Trees in general. Oda showcased the Harley mural to the fans through the character of Franky, and this already told the fans that his part in Elbaf is going to be absolutely massive.

Fans then got to see the two biggest weaknesses of Elbaf through Franky, those being fire and lightning, and finally, inOne Piecechapter 1144, Oda revealed to the fans q science facility in Elbaf from 3000 years ago. According to Ripley, this is what she wanted to show Franky the most, and that essentially means that this part is going to be the most significant for Franky, and that it’ll tie directly to a major power-up for him.

Franky Will Upgrade Himself With Vegapunk’s Help
As seen inOne Piecechapter 1144, Oda revealed a very exciting development to the fans pertaining to Vegapunk. Before Franky could even get to the science facility from the First World, Vegapunk Lilith had already made her way there. She has explored the facility and wants to continue the exploration.
Franky wants to join in as well, making this exploration quite interesting. Most importantly, Lilith stressed that the inside is nothing like they’ve ever seen before. In other words, the technology inside is incredibly advanced and Franky will most definitely check it out.
Franky’s Next Upgrades
Previously, when Franky discovered an abandoned facility, he upgraded himself massively. This was before the two-year timeskip ofOne Piece, where he discovered the facility in Bulgemore. This time around, he’s found one in Elbaf, and he’ll definitely incorporate some powerful technology into his body. Be it advanced weaponry with lasers, or stronger giant-inspired weapons,Franky will get stronger.

Most importantly,fans should expect Franky to create a new mecha, and upgrade upon Franky Shogun, with an even bigger and stronger version that can fight side by side with the Giants but is capable of much more, including flight.
