Summary
In the world ofOne Piece, most characters will decide to settle their differences with their fists or swords, but not everyone likes getting up close and personal with the enemy. Though guns are a pretty rare sight inOne Piece, there are still several individuals who have been shown to always have a rifle or pistol on them at all times, being considered the marksmen of the series thanks to the expertise they have demonstrated when it comes to handling firearms.
Considering that the majority of characters in this series possess Devil Fruit abilities, many of which can enhance speed and mobility, being able to have a good aim is a necessity for anyone who is relying on using ranged weapons to dish out damage. That’s certainly not an issue for theseOne Piececharacters listed below though, who have proven to be among the most skilled and formidable firearm users in the story.
7Baby 5
The Doflamingo Family Member Possesses An Unlimited Number Of Weapons
Baby 5, a loyal member of Doflamingo’s makeshift family, possesses a rather unusual Devil Fruit which allows her to turn her body into any weapon she can imagine. As a result, she can be seen whipping out all types of deadly tools during her brief few appearances in theDressrosa arc, but from what’s been shown, she prefers to throw out weapons that are more explosive and chaotic, rather than trying to lie low with a sniper or pistol.
The gatling gun is Baby 5’s go-to weapon of choice, which she can usually be seen carrying on her back, along with an assortment of cannons and blades. Since her Devil Fruit has made her so accustomed to utilizing guns ever since she was young, it means she knows how to handle all kinds of ranged weapons, even if her aim isn’t quite as precise as some of the others on this list.
6Queen
As a former MADS member and a cyborg in his own right, it makes sense that Queen would be fitted with at least a few forms of heavy weaponry to keep himself protected in an intense fight. However, this twistedBeast Pirateactually goes one step further by loading his weapons full of Excite Bullets, which he uses to infect an entire arena of samurai and pirates, causing many of them to attack one another in a frenzy.
Clearly, this is a pirate who knows his way around a gun, and who enjoys nothing more than inserting his own twisted sense of creativity into his weapons any time he spots an opportunity to cause some carnage. While his formidable size and brachiosaurus form already makes Queen a threat in close quarters, he’s also no slouch when it comes to ranged firepower too.
5Capone Bege
Bege Is A Deadly Sharpshooter With His Small But Powerful Handcannons
Whenever Capone Bege, a dangerous member ofthe Worst Generation of pirates, shows up on screen, he can often be seen hiding his hands underneath his mob-boss trench coat. This is because he’s always prepared to pull out one of his explosive pistols on anyone who tries to double-cross him or his crew, and as he’s shown numerous times across the series so far, he’s got a pretty good aim, at least at close range.
Most of the time, Bege only uses his pistol as a way to intimidate his foes, backing them into a corner before they inevitably agree to his insidious demands. However, as was shown during the mission to take down Big Mom on Whole Cake Island, he’s certainly not afraid to use them when someone gets a little too close for comfort.
4Izo
Izo’s Quick And Deadly Fighting Style Would Come In Handy During The Raid Of Onigashima
While mostOne Piececharacters will carry a sword by their side when they ae expected to engage in close combat, Izo doesn’t follow this tradition. Instead, Izo can always be seen wielding a set of dual pistols which possess a rapid rate of fire, and are light enough for Izo to move around the environment without being slowed down.
As a result, he possesses a quick, mobile and deadly fighting style, which was put on full display duringhis fatal duel against CP0near the end of Wano. He was even able to disarm King while the Beast Pirate was on the move, which shows just how accurate Izo truly is with his lethal weapons. Even before that, though, Izo also managed to have a pretty good showing in the Marineford war, which is no easy feat considering the caliber of individuals who showed up to that conflict.
3Ben Beckman
Shanks' Right-Hand Man Carries A Flintoff Rifle To Protect Him And His Crew From Range
The scene of Ben Beckman holding up Kizaru with his rifle, which happened all the way back in the Marineford War, is still a frequent topic of discussion among fans to this day. Though it seemed as though Shanks' right-hand man may have actually been fast enough to shoot someone who can literally move at the speed of light, this wasn’t exactly confirmed, though it definitely implied Beckman is someone who is a real crackshot when wielding his favorite gun.
Being able to coat his bullets with Haki also makes him especially dangerous to characters who rely too much on their Logia powers. Though Beckman has only shown up in flashes here and there, he’s made it clear that he’s an expert when it comes to firearms, which is a big reason why he has earned his prestigious position on Shanks' crew.
2Yasopp
Yasopp Claims To Have Never Missed A Target, And It’s Not Hard To Believe Him
The father of Usopp, Yasopp, has largely remained in the shadows for much ofOne Piece’sstory, but Oda has still made one thing clear; this guy is the real deal when it comes to sniping. Early on in the series, Yasopp claims that he’s so skilled at using a rifle that he can snipe the antenna off an ant’s head without even killing it, and though he might be exaggerating a little like his son often does, he’s still skilled enough to have earned a spot aboard the Red Hair Pirates' ship.
In fact, it’s stated that Shanks personally sought out Yasopp when creating his crew, highlighting just how infamous he had become across the world for his dangerous weaponry and marksman skills. Not much may be known about Yasopp, but what has become clear is that anyone brave enough to try and take him down from long-range is going to be in for a pretty rude awakening.
1Van Augur
The Deadly Sniper Of The Blackbeard Crew Excels At Long-Range Confrontations
Admittedly, Van Augur hasn’t had all that much screentime to demonstrate his full potential as a marksman, but it’s fair to say that from what has been shown, this pirate is one of the most skilled snipers in the entire series. While the man himself already has a good eye for spotting targets from long distances, another reason he’s able to pick off enemies from such staggering range is also thanks tohis rifle: Senriku.
This devastating weapon features an incredibly long barrel, making it ideal for long-range encounters, but Van Augur is also capable of taking a few shots when up-close too, as he did with Whitebeard. When paired with his teleportation ability, which can put him at the perfect range for dealing damage to an enemy, it results in Van Augur being a truly dangerous member of the infamous Blackbeard crew, and the best firearms user in the entire series from what has been shown thus far.
