As is evident from Oda’s very own message, his biggest goal with the Final Saga is to have fun and joke around. For Oda, this story has taken up a significant portion of his life and at the end of things, he wants to do things his own way. Oda wants to have fun with his masterpiece and make it the silly and goofy story that he always intended it to be, which is something that most fans also adore.

Oda will never set aside the humor in the final saga, but at the same time, fans also know that Oda tends to write some incredibly dark and twisted stories as well. The Final Saga will see Oda draw just that, and deliver some of the most emotional constant that fans have ever seen.
