One Pieceis in the Final Saga right now, and as mentioned by Oda himself, every big mystery in the series ever is finally going to be answered here. At the same time,the Straw Hat Pirates will finally get closer to their own dreams as well, and before reaching the final island, Laugh Tale, Luffy will most likely get the last member of the crew to join too.
As things stand, the Straw Hat Pirates seem almost complete as they are, but there is most likely going to be one more person who will join the crew. When Luffy first set out on his journey, he mentioned that he’d want about 10 crewmates. Now, he has 9 under him, which means that if his initial assessment is something to go by, one more person will join the Straw Hat Pirates and soon. The Final Saga will most definitely see the last Straw Hat join early and it seems Oda has already left small clues here and there in the story when it comes to the final recruitment.
Will The Final Straw Hat Be Revealed In Elbaf?
Right now,One Pieceis in the Elbaf arc and it goes without saying that this part of the story is incredibly intense. The Straw Hat Pirates headed to Egghead first after the defeat of Kaido, and there, picked up Vegapunk after fighting through a massive fleet of Navy ships. Thanks to the Giant Warrior Pirates, the Straw Hats found an easy escape from Egghead, and they managed to get across the sea to the Warland, also known to be the home of Giants, Elbaf.

Things in Elbaf have been moving with an incredible intensity, right off the bat. It must be noted that Elbaf is most likely going to be a massive arc, and that makes a lot of sense, based on the fact that this arc was set up long before even Wano, is already over 20 chapters in with the surface barely being scratched, and above all, has parts that haven’t even been touched upon yet. This arc is most certainly going to be bigger than Egghead, which in itself was over 60 chapters. Fans should expect Elbaf to be similar to Whole Cake Island or Dressrosa in terms of length. This also means that One Piece will be extremely close to the final conflict once the Straw Hat Pirates leave the country of giants, and when that happens, fans should most definitely see the Straw Hat Pirates already complete, that is, with their last member added. After all, when the crew fights its biggest battles, they need to be prepared.
For instance, Luffy will most likely head into battle against other Emperors as soon as he’s out of Elbaf, and all of them have a specific number of pirates under them. When it comes to Blackbeard, fans know that he has got 10 Titanic Captains under him. These include, Burgess, Shiryu, Van Augur, Avalo Pizzaro, Lafitte, Catarina Devon, Sanjuan Wolf, Vasco Shot, Doc Q, and Kuzan.
The Red Hair Pirates, who Luffy will eventually have to face, also have a similar build. In their case, Shanks is followed by Ben Beckman, Lucky Roux Yasopp, Lime Juice, Building Snake, Monster, Howling Gab, Hongo, Bonk Punch, and of course, Rockstar.
Clearly, Luffy needs one more member of the crew before he heads into these battles, and that meansthe final Straw Hatmust be decided soon enough.
The Contenders For The Final Straw Hat
Loki Is A Very Big Contender
The Straw Hat Pirates are almost complete, and at the same time, they’re one step away from reaching the Final Island, Laugh Tale. Based on everything that the fans have seen so far in, all Luffy needs to do is battle it out against the other Emperors for the last Poneglyph, and all of them will require the crew to be complete. Luffy’s last crewmatemust be decided here in Elbaf, even if they don’t necessarily join in this arc.
One new contender for the position of the last Straw Hat that fans have been warming up to is Loki. This is because Loki is quite powerful and even though he’s painted as a villain, fans know that he had a kind heart deep down. Loki also has an interesting dynamic at play with Luffy, and above all, he would make for a very intriguing member of the crew who will most definitely raise their power to a whole new level. Fans also know that Loki is seen fighting alongside Luffy in the Harley, which means that at some point, they will have to cooperate.

But, the idea of Loki being a crewmate should be left where it is because it’ll never be bigger. Loki, even though guaranteed to be an ally at this point, is not going to join the Straw Hat Pirates. Instead, he’ll ally with the crew for sure as a representative of Elbaf. Instead, the one that fans should turn their eyes to is none other than Vivi.
Vivi Looks Like She Will Be The Last Straw Hat
Vivi Is Set To Rejoin The Crew
It must be remembered thatVivi has already been a member of the Straw Hat Piratesin the past. She had to leave the crew because her responsibility was to her people. However, right now, Vivi and her country are in turmoil. Vivi is sought after by Imu and she cannot return to Arabasta. She needs safety and the crew already know that her disappearance is worrisome.
Furthermore, Vivi left a cluefor the Straw Hat Piratespreviously, and she will most definitely rejoin them soon enough. Vivi needs to realize the truth about her, that is, she is a member of the D family, and that she has a big role to play in the final battle. Once Luffy and the crew join up with Vivi, she will officially join them for the last stretch and that is whenOne Piecewill truly head into the final part, where Luffy and the Straw Hat will officially fight the other Emperors, and at the same time, the World Government as well. All eyes should be kept on Elbaf, which is where Vivi could show up, or the Straw Hat Pirates will finally decide to head out to her rescue, completing the crew in the process.
Before that, however, the crew must dealwith the Holy Knights and Loki, and in doing so, save the country from utter annihilation.
