Warning: The following contains spoilers for the One Punch Man manga. One Punch Man is now streaming onCrunchyroll.

Everyone knows thatOne Punch Man’s Saitama is insanely strong. Strong enough to, as the title implies, beat his enemies with one punch. But out of all the punches he’s thrown in theOne Punch Manmanga and anime, which one is considered the strongest?

saitama zero punch

Saitama’s battled giants, aliens, monsters, and pretty much everything in between, and as his foes get stronger, so must his punches. The strongest opponent he’s faced so far is AwakenedGarou, the Hero Hunter, who was in his Cosmic Fear Mode bestowed upon him by “God”. So, unsurprisingly, all of Saitama’s strongest attacks happened during their battle.

In Terms of Raw Destructive Power: Saitama’s Serious Punch²

It Erased Countless Stars

Based on just how much raw destruction a single punch has caused, the Serious Punch² is by far Saitama’s strongest punch. He performed this punch against Awakened Garou after discovering that he had killed or destroyed Genos in theOne Punch Manmanga chapter 167, “Io”. In response,Garou used his copying abilitiesto use Mode: Saitama Serious Punch to clash against Saitama’s Serious Punch². Blast, the S-Class Rank 1 hero, foresaw that the force of that clash would be enough to destroy the Earth, so he teleported all three of them into space. Unfortunately, he soon sensed that even from the space above Earth, the shockwave would still be enough to destroy it. Thankfully, Blast and a few other mysterious figures managed to divert most of the clash’s force to deep space.

The resulting shockwave from the clash wound up wiping out what looked likehundreds to thousands of starsfrom existence. As for the force of their clash that remained near Earth, it was enough to send Saitama and Garou hurtling through space until eventually crashing on Io, one of Jupiter’s moons.

Now, admittedly, the force expelled wasn’t solely due to the Serious Punch². It was from a clash between the punches Saitama and Garou threw, so technically, only about half of that explosion/shockwave can be attributed to Saitama. Still, even if the Serious Punch² dealt only half of that damage, it still wiped out several stars, and none ofhis other punches so farhave even come close to that.

In Terms of Warping Reality: Saitama’s Zero Punch

A Punch Through Time

When talking about “the strongest punch”, your mind might directly think of the punch that deals the most physical damage and destruction. But Saitama and some of the stronger characters in One Punch Man have gone beyond that. Their attacks warp time and space itself, which is precisely what Saitama’s Zero Punch did.

Upon being defeated inOne Punch Manchapter 168, “Awakening of the Gods”, Garou discovered that Tareo had been killed as collateral damage during the fight. Finally seeing the evil and destruction he’d been causing, Garou had a change of heart and told Saitama of a way to change everything. He instructed Saitama to copy his ability to manipulate time, believing Saitama could master godly power even without the assistance of a god. Saitama successfully copied Garou’s time manipulation technique and incorporated it into his punch, which traveled through time to knock out Garou in the past, just immediately after heachieved his Awakened form. The Zero Punch proved successful, but as it changed the past, the future that never happened was all but forgotten to Saitama, making it unlikely that he can perform it again unless he somehow relearns time manipulation.

One Punch Man

The Zero Punch didn’t destroy planets, stars, or anything of that magnitude, and it only knocked out a weaker Garou who was off their guard, so it doesn’t have the same amount of destructive force as the Serious Punch². However, the Zero Punch essentiallytore a hole through time, and depending on who you ask, that’s a far more powerful move in the grand scale of things.

“That punch… went back in time and landed before it was thrown… It took not one punch but zero punches to finish the battle” - Narrator

Saitama’s Strongest Non-Punch Attack: Serious Sneeze

A Move That Decimated Half of Jupiter

Punches may be what he’s known for, but they aren’t the only kind of attacks Saitama performs. His Serious Series of moves also has Sideways Jumps, Water Gun, Table Flip, Headbutt, and the strongest of them all so far, the Serious Sneeze. This move was also performed during hisfight with Awakened Garouon Io inOne Punch Manchapter 168. While on Io, the Serious Sneeze sent a wave of force toward Jupiter itself and annihilated what looked like half of the gas giant.

The Serious Sneeze is stronger than most of Saitama’s punches, and even hisSerious Punch against Borospales in comparison. Even if it was a silly move that didn’t really do any damage to Garou, as it missed him completely, it still highlights just how insane Saitama’s power is.

One Punch Man is now available to stream onCrunchyrollandNetflix. One Punch Man Season 3 will be released sometime in October 2025.
