Since its early access release,Palworldhas recently been one of the most played survival games, constantly ranking in the top charts across multiple platforms. Thanks to its unique gameplay mechanics, adorable pals, and an open world to explore, the game has taken the players by storm. However, despite its success, there are a few features that the players have been asking for since day one, and crossplay was one of the most wanted ones.
Until now,Palworldhas had some notable updates that have kept the community returning for more. However, with the recent bigupdate in March, the developers, Pocketpair, have heard the community and released an update introducing crossplay, photo mode, Global Palbox, and many other exciting features. This update marks a significant improvement in the game’s multiplayer experience, which now allows players to team up with their friends to explore the world of Palpagos Island.
How to Turn On Crossplay in Palworld
Crossplay allows players across several platforms to play on the samemultiplayer serverinPalworld. As of writing this,Palworldis currently available on Steam (PC), Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One. This means Steam and Xbox players can now play on a shared server and team up with crossplay enabled. However, crossplay will only be available if the player hosting the world has enabled the option, as they are disabled by default. To learn how to enable crossplay inPalworld, follow these simple steps:
This method is the same as that of existing and new worlds. If you want tocreate a new worldwhere crossplay is enabled, you can just toggle the menu ON during the world setup. SincePalworldallows you to play multiple worlds simultaneously, you can try out one single-player and one multiplayer world with your friends.
To disable the crossplay feature on your server, all you need to do is go to the ‘Change World Settings’ from the world menu and then toggle the Cross-Play option off. Only the player hosting the world can change these settings; the players joining the world are not required to do anything extra.
