Pokemoncosplayisn’t uncommon, with fans of the series able to look to a burgeoning cast of both pocket monsters and their trainers to dress up as. Some fans take matters a step further, going so far as to create memorable cosplay and props that really wow the community at large.
On Reddit,Pokemonfan Worldwarallen has shared their latest animatronic creation, this time making an impressive Ekans that uses internal animatronics to move around. Worldwarallen says that they were inspired by wanting to make a new animatronic that could impress others without them having to hold it, like some of their prior works, such as theiranimatronic Pidgey. The still images of the design don’t do it full justice, as while Ekans looks great in a static pose around the creator’s neck, the video he also shared demonstrates it wiggling across the ground similar to an actual snake. In addition to Ekans being able to actually glide across the ground, the way that it moves its head around makes it more convincing.
Creative Fan Has a Pokemon Animatronic Team
Fans are impressed with this latest work, and that’s not a big surprise, as Worldwarallen’s creations have been popular whenever he has shared one. In addition to Pidgey, Worldwarallen has also shared an animatronic Charmander, Tentacool, Kabuto, and Caterpie, to name a few. The detailed breakdown video shows how much work and planning goes into these creations, with Worldwarallen designing models to be 3D printed that can house the necessary motors and animatronic parts to get the desired effect. While it’s certainly not an easy task, it seems that Worldwarallen really enjoys making them, and the community has certainly appreciated them. Hisanimatronic Pidgey has even won an awardat a cosplay competition.
With so manyPokemonto choose from, there are plenty of choices that Worldwarallen could pick up next of varying difficulty levels. At the moment, he’s also shown off an in-progress Pikachu. The new animatronic is based on the original “fat Pikachu” design, and a demo video shows the incomplete animatronic swiveling its head around and wiggling its ears. For now, fans will have to be patient until the next animatronic is done, but it’s clear Worldwarallen isn’t stopping now.
