Redditor ArkhamLegion showed what it would be like if Phantump and Trevenant had regional forms. Phantump, one of theGen 6 Pokemon, appears with a slightly grayish mask, while its body is made up of bright red and orange flames. According to the lore they created, the pocket monster gains these colors when struck by lightning, and the result is a combination of different types, with this Phantump being a Ghost/Fire-type with the Natural Cure ability, and the hidden Flame Body ability. The artist also shows what the shiny variant of this regional Phantump would look like.

Pokemon Fan Designs Intimidating Regional Forms for Phantump and Trevenant

The same goes for Trevenant, which has been given a regional form that makes it even more intimidating. Its body is a slightly faded brown, and the other parts of the monster are a bright shade of orange, including the horn-like branches on its head. The artist’s lore says this regional Trevenant has been punished by aLegendary Pokemon, and sentenced to be struck by lightning, hence the mark on the Pokemon’s body. This Ghost/Fire-type’s ability is Lightning Rod, while its hidden ability is also Flame Body. They also show what the shiny regional Trevenant would look like, and the color palette is just as impressive as the regular variant.

ArkhamLegion’s work is impressive, and one of many regional form ideas the community often shares. There’s no shortage of examples, such as the player who created a regional form for Tinkaton’s evolutionary line, giving the popular pocket monster a design using references from other Pokemon. Another player went a mile further and caught the eye bycreating regional forms for 13 different Pokemon, showing inventive designs for characters such as Snorunt, Cottonee, and Applin, demonstrating just how far the creativity ofPokemonfans can go.
