The artist stated that they designed the Houndoom Poke Ball using Autodesk Fusion, formerly known as Fusion 360, which is a program that can design and render 3D models to use with a 3D printer or other applications. The 3D printer that Straightlampin used was the Bambu Lab X1C, a desktop device that uses filaments to craft models and other goods.
Pokemon Fan Artist Shares 3D Printed Houndoom Poke Ball Design
The Houndoom Poke Ball used black, orange, white, and gray filaments. The Poke Ball’s top and bottom were black, with an orange interior and a white button in the middle. The bottom side had an orange spot to match Houndoom’s body. Houndoom’s horns adorned the top side, and its bone-like collar was wrapped around the bottom. Houndoom’s sharp tail was attached to the backside and curled up, along with three bone-like spines.
