Summary

After looking through somePokemon Legends: Z-Aleaks concerning Mega Evolution forms, a fan artist designed what they believe Mega Clefable could look like in the upcoming game. ThePokemon Legends: Z-Afan art concept was posted on social media, as the artist crafted Mega Clefable in two different styles.

Known as the Fairy Pokemon, Clefable first appeared inPokemon Red and Blue. Clefable evolves from Clefairy when exposed to a Moon Stone, which enhances its special attack, special defense, and HP stats further. Clefable was considered a Normal-type critter for the first five Pokemon game generations but wasreclassified as a Fairy-typestarting inPokemon X and Y. With the type change to Fairy, Clefable can use moves like Moonblast, Life Dew, and Draining Kiss to support its teammates and fend off Dark, Dragon, and Fighting Pokemon. However, Clefable was not granted a Mega Evolution form in the sixthPokemongeneration.

After some information about newMega Evolution forms coming toPokemon Legends: Z-Awas leakedon social media, a Pokemon trainer set to work with a Mega Clefable concept. On the r/LegendsZA subreddit,Pokemonfan artist HertzBurst revealed their take on what Mega Clefable could look like. Clefable’s wings were extended wide upon Mega Evolving, with yellow and green portions located in the middle and bottom segments, respectively. Clefable’s ears were changed to be more square, and the swirling pattern atop its head became more pronounced. HertzBurst stated that the curl was based on the leak’s description of a “Pom-Pom beret” on the top. The leaks also claimed that Mega Clefable would be a Fairy/Flying dual-type creature, which is the same type pairing as Togekiss and Enamorus.

HertzBurst then rendered their Mega Clefable concept into a 3D program and gave it some additional shining effects to make it stand out. Mega Clefable was subsequently placed in Lumiose City as a point of reference. While the leaked information must be taken with a grain of salt,Pokemon Legends: Z-Awill see Mega Evolution return as a core battle gimmick. Withthe Starter Pokemon also receiving apparent Mega forms, it remains to be seen how Mega Clefable will hold up in a Pokemon battle once the game is released in late 2025. HertzBurst was complimented by other Pokemon trainers for their continued effort.

Between the return of Mega Evolution and significant changes to Pokemon battles,Pokemon Legends: Z-Awill offer unique twiststo the series' gameplay loops. Only time will tell which Mega Evolution forms will appear in the final release.
