As the Fire-type Starter ofPokemon Scarlet and Violet,Skeledirge can hold its own against other comparable starters, as its signature move, Torch Song, boosts its special attack by one stage with each use. Along with moves like Shadow Ball, Snarl, and Earth Power, Skeledirge’s repertoire of attacks makes it one of the most malleable Pokemon in the Paldea region.

Skeledirge will use Disarming Voice and Flame Charge immediately at the start of the battle, which can put unpreparedPokemontrainers at an early disadvantage. Skeledirge has the Fire type as its Tera type and grants the Mightiest Mark to trainers who defeat it.
