PokemonTrading Card Game Pocketcontinues to add new expansions to the game, each one offering one or more different pack arts that players can open to collect various cards. By continuing to open packs and build their collections, players will increase the variety of cards which they can then utilize in building decks to use in battles against other players or as part of in-game challenges and events.
One such expansion that has caused the arrival of several new ace Pokemon isShining Revelry. This is the first in-game set to feature artwork of shiny Pokemon on the cards, much like the physical Shining Fates and Paldean FatesTCG sets. Even better, there are plenty of strong Pokemon, such as Clodsire, that have emerged in the current meta. If you’re looking to build a Clodsire deck inPokemon TCG Pocket, all the information you’ll need to do so has been included in the guide below.
Best Clodsire ex Deck Build in Pokemon TCG Pocket
Clodsire ex has emerged as one of the best new ace Pokemon from Shining Revelry. Clodsire has a pretty decent base of 160 HP, has an attack that only requires2 Energy equipped, and is only a second-stage evolution. However, the strongest aspect of this card is that its move, Venoshock, does base 60 damage, and an additional 60 damage (120 total) if the target Pokemon is Poisoned.
Grafaiaifits into play alongside Clodsire ex as the perfect supporting Pokemon, because it has the unique Ability Poison Coating. This Ability enables the player to makea coin flip once per turn, and on a successful flip, the enemy Active Pokemon will become Poisoned. Essentially, if luck is on your side, then Grafaiai will be able to continuously set up Clodsire to deal double damage. Furthermore, Pokemon Abilities can be played from the bench, meaning you’re able to keep Clodsire in play to capitalize on this status effect immediately.
In a nutshell, this deck plays by forcing the opponent to deal with frequent Poisons by withdrawing/swapping out their Pokemon, or forcing out valuable resources such as Supporter cards and Items that heal. The remainder of this deck consists of Supporters to further disrupt the enemy, as well as Pokemon Tools and items to help keep Clodsire in play for longer.
