The only issue was that the event never made a comeback despite many players demanding it. However, this is about to change, as the devs have confirmed its return.
Three years after the initial Shroomie Shenanigans,Cookie Run: Kingdomis finally set to bring it back. In a recent YouTube video on the game’s official channel, Wedding Cake and Black Forest stumble upon a strange mushroom, which leads to the official announcement of the event. The newShroomie Shenanigans will begin on June 02, 2025, allowing fans to access transfiguration spells fromCookie Run: Kingdom’s character level-up menu. Besides the new avatars, each Cookie will also get an exclusive April Fools story that players can complete to earn additional rewards.
Cookie Run: Kingdom Brings Back the Shroomie Shenanigans Event
One interesting detail in the event’s announcement video is the shadowy outline of Wedding Cake and Black Forest Cookies at the end, which has stirred curiosity among fans about how their transformed avatars will look. Both characters have proven popular among fans, as evidenced by the players’ excitement overBlack Forest Cookie becoming a guaranteed draw. Fortunately, fans won’t have to wait long to see these new avatars, as the event is right around the corner.
The Shroomie Shenanigans event will offer alternative looks for all characters released since 2022. Therefore,fan-favorite Cookies like Shadow Milkwill also be eligible to consume the magical rainbow mushrooms. According to the official update patch notes, previously featured Cookies will require only one Rainbow Shroomie for transformation, while the new ones will need two. It’s also important to note that the alternative looks will be removed once the event concludes. Additionally, if fans don’t like a Cookie’s alternative avatar, they will have the option to toggle it off from the character level-up menu.
