7Meteor House

A House with a Lootable Meteorite to Reduce Hot Temperature Damage by 10%

From within the shack, players are going to find a group of people who were just casually going about their day before a chunk of meteorite from space crash-landed onto their dining table, killing them all in gruesome ways.

Not only are the corpses a grim sight, but Arthur can directly interact with a metal that’s not of this world by picking up a chunk of the meteorite from within the hole in the ground, which can be sold, but willpermanently decrease damaging exposureto hot temperatures by 10% so long as it’s inArthur’s satchel.

6Robard Farm

Discover a Deadly Affair

Another abandoned shack is found in Lemoyne, where players can uncover Robard Farm. While the farm itself has an Oxen to kill for the Compendium, and a Laurence Dunn Cigarette Card, the real desire to come to this location comes from the bloodied murders that are found within the cabin itself.

Entering the shack, players will find an abundance of bloody footprints, along with a couple that have been brutally stabbed to death on a bed. Follow the trail of footprints back outside to find a woman who has killed herself with a revolver, along with a letter pleading to her husband to stop having an affair.

Luckily for Arthur, he gets the spoils, which is an easy $25.

4Osman Grove

The Corpses of a Small Family Remain Inside

Osman Grove holds a few useful treasures for players who need to complete some Companion Item Requests back at the Van der Linde camp. Inside the shack, is a storybook for Jack and a Fountain pen for Mary-Beth, but it’s going to bea pretty depressing sightfor those who do manage to enter the cabin.

Within Osman Grove is a selection of corpses – a small family who lived here together, only to die from suffocation after a pipe burst and trapped them all from within the cabin. A small child playing with their toys, along with a mother, father, grandmother, and grandfather – this family met a horrible end and Arthur can be the last witness to their memory.

3Hermit Woman

A Hostile Witch and Her Dogs Hold a Great Secret

The Hermit Woman owns an unnamed shack that will surely be a hostile place for Arthur to visit. Not only does the Hermit Woman reject company entirely by sending out her hostile attack dogs to bite and maul Arthur, but she will also be a combatant herself to try and get people off of her property, even if she gives no time for them to leave.

The Hermit Woman is a mystery, and while her cabin doesn’t have much, it does have half of a treasure map related to Otis Miller, a notorious gunslinger. Many have speculated that the Hermit Woman is the widow of Otis Miller, whereas Arthur sees her as a witch. Regardless of what she is, grab her half of thetreasure map for some interesting loot.

2Manito Glade

A Hermit’s Dwelling Who Holds a Treasure Map and a Rare Shotgun

In the far North East area of New Hanover, players can ride through the forest to reach Manito Glade, a small cabin that has plenty of warning signs out front to show Arthur that the man inside isn’t going to be friendly. If players get too close, this man and his oversized hat will step out and scream for Arthur to leave.

If Arthur fails to leave or becomes aggressive to the hermit, a gunfight will occur, but if Arthur is the victor, he can loot a one-of-a-kind Rare Shotgun, and inside the cabin itself is the other half to the Torn Treasure Map that will guide players to the Otis Miller Treasure in New Austin.

1Watson’s Cabin

An Easy Cabin for Isolated Loot and a Semi-Auto Shotgun

An isolated cabin in West Elizabeth holds an old grandma who is anything but sweet. If players enter the cabin, they’ll find Mama Watson, an aggressive old woman who tells Arthur to set aside his loot in the basement, as she believes him to be part ofher son’s gang, the Watson Boys. Complying with her request will see a whole range of useful items to be looted from her basement.

Watson’s Cabin has a bundle of jewelry, coins, and more interestingly, the Semi-Auto Shotgun, which is a weapon that players can get for free well before they can buy it in Chapter 4. It’s an easy opportunity for loot, but do be careful of coming back here afterward, as an ambush might occur.
