R.E.P.O.has taken the gaming world by storm, following in a similar vein to Lethal Company by providing players with a wacky cast of characters that need to grab loot and avoid monsters. While there are some intricate concepts, and the physics-based gameplay makes for hilarity and scares, there are some mods that might help players enjoyR.E.P.O.even more than they already do.
The bestR.E.P.O.will help elevate the experience by providing players with buffs and changes to the way the game is experienced, crafted by players so that everyone can maximize the potential of fun bound toR.E.P.O.We’ve compiled some of the bestR.E.P.O.mods for players to improve their game to the most fun possible.
The mods listed below feature quality-of-life improvements, fun additions, and more fair mechanics without breaking the vanilla experience.
1Extraction Point Confirm Button
Decide When It’s Time to Bring the Money
When players havean abundance of loot, it can be hard to try and balance it all on the extraction point to sell it, especially with the process is automated when the quota is reached. This can lead to loot being left behind or destroyed as the walls close in to suck up the objects inside. Luckily, there’s a mod to help with that process.
With ExtractionPointConfirmButton, players are given a confirm button to press at each extraction point so that they can correctly stack their loot onto the point before they activate it. This might remove some of the more tense moments of juggling loot to avoid it breaking on the extraction point, but it’s still a nice quality-of-life improvement.
2More Upgrades
Further Upgrades to Improve Variety
The default upgrades available inR.E.P.O.are great, and really assist in furthering the gameplay of each level and the incentive to grab as much loot as possible. However, who wouldn’t want further upgrades from the creative modding community that adds fair and balanced upgrades to the player’s activity?
With the MoreUpgrades mod, players have a selection of the following to purchase at any store:
3More Head
Provides Players with Customization Options
Changing the colorof each robotis a nice way to express one’s self, but there can always be more options. With the MoreHead mod, players will have a range of different cosmetics to choose from so that their robot isn’t just a different color but has a range of masks, backpacks, and additional cosmetics to make everyone laugh.
MoreHead adds customization options toR.E.P.O.so that players can better express themselves with unique characters. It features anything from wacky hairstyles, to big glasses, eyebrows, masks, and more for players to try out.
4No Gun Spread
Guns are a lot of fun inR.E.P.O., but they are burdened by the game’s hilarious use of physics. It’s practically impossible to fire a gun accurately unless players are pointing the barrel directly at a monster’s back (or front), and that’s just easily going to get players killed in the long run.
With the NoGunSpread mod, players will have the frustrating inaccurate bullet spread removed, meaning that they can look to their reticle to accurately aim and shoot the gun. While the recoil remains, the bullet spread is far less random and makes fora fairer experience.
5Shared Upgrades
Allows Everyone to Have the Same Experience
Playing with multiple people is a lot of fun, but it comes at the cost of having to share upgrades with individuals. This makes later levels harder, as some players might have an extra health upgrade, whereas others have a strength upgrade, meaning players are weaker than they would be if they just played solo to selfishlytake all the upgrades.
Thankfully, the SharedUpgrades mod will allow everyone in the lobby to have the same upgrade. This means that if players take a stamina upgrade, everyone gets it, and that’s the same for every upgrade, which ensures that players can reach high levels with ease.
6More Revive HP
Dying can be an annoying experience in any game, but it’s especially annoying, and still hilarious, inR.E.P.O.Players who die inR.E.P.O.will explode, and they can be revived at extraction stations, but they are limited to 1 HP. This means that any enemy that lays eyes on them, or even a player who accidentally hits them with an item, willget this weakened player killed.
While there are ways around it, like siphoning health from other players, it’s better to just have the MoreReviveHP mod activate, which means players will revive with a fair 20 HP instead of 1 HP. For players who want to tweak this, that can also be done in the config file so it can be more or less than 20.
7XH Damage Show Enemy Health Bar
Provides Players with a Health Bar to Fight Monsters
The monsters ofR.E.P.O.are utterly terrifying, and it’s hard to judge which ones are killable, and which ones should be avoided at all cost. Sometimes, smashing an enemy into the floor or shooting then with a gun isn’t enough, which is why XH DamageShow EnemyHealthBar acts as a great mod to include.
With this mod, players can now see the total health of an enemy with a health bar before they decide to engage in combat. This will aid players in the knowledge of both the damage they have dealt, and whether it’sworth just hidingand waiting for the enemy to disappear.
8Post Level Summary
Provides End-of-Level Stats to Live and Learn
When players survive a level, it’s often nice to reminisce on the dangers that they experienced as they desperately extracted loot and escaped to the ship. Luckily, they can reminisce in stat form thanks to PostLevelSummary, which provides non-invasive stats that provide that and nothing else, meaning no unfair advantages.
The stats provided showcase the money extracted, the money they have to spend, along with the valuables that were left behind or broken so that players can be prepared for the next level where they know to be careful next time, or whether they managed to geta perfect run.
