Coffee Stain Studios has now shared a detailed breakdown of the upcoming patch via YouTube, elaborating on theSatisfactory1.1 teaser that premiered in mid-March 2025. The nine-minute video confirms many new features that the developer previously hinted at, including a revamped photo mode, which will offer adjustable camera movement, filters, character poses, and depth of field effects, among other novelties. In a bid to illustrate the overall capabilities of these improvements, Coffee Stain Studios noted that the entire 1.1 teaser was captured using the new photo mode.

Satisfactory Confirms Hyper Tube Upgrades and New Logistics Options for 1.1 Update

The developer also confirmed that the upcoming update will refine some ofSatisfactory’s transportation methods. Hypertubes are getting several improvements, including three-way junctions in which players can change direction mid-travel by pressing E. Hypertube branches allowing entry from specific paths and angles are also part of the patch. Moreover, the 1.1 update will introduce new logistics options in the form of fully supported vertical splitters and mergers, which will be placeable anywhere on lifts. Players will also be able to adjust input priority levels in order to design so-called “priority mergers” and seize granular control over pipeline item flow in case of overloads.

Satisfactory Is Getting Controller Support, But Its Console Ports Are Delayed

Another confirmed novelty for the upcoming update is controller support, bringing the game another step closer to consoles. But on a related note, Coffee Stain Studios has now revealed that the game’s console versions have been delayed. While they were initially planned to arrive shortly afterSatisfactoryleft early access, they have now been pushed back and will only debut after the 1.1 update.

The upcoming patch is now confirmed to be launching on April 1, when it will become available on the Steam experimental branch of the game. Coffee Stain Studios hasn’t clarified how long it expects to keep the update in testing before rolling it out to the stable channel.
