Satisfactorywas treated to a full-fledged releasein mid-September 2024, following five and a half years' worth of early access. The factory management game has received 14 patches since then. Most of them were limited in scope, focusing on bug fixes and minor improvements rather than adding new content.
Satisfactorydeveloper Coffee Stain Studioshas lately also been working on a much bigger update, identified by version number 1.1. On March 14, the Swedish company shared a new teaser showcasing some of the content set to arrive as part of this patch. The 70-second video offers glimpses of several new buildables, including a reinforced cable, a ridged building, and what looks like a garage door wall. A new type of square windows can also be seen in the teaser, together with a more refined belt and pipe system supporting curved construction shapes.
Satisfactory 1.1 Update Bringing Item Counters, Hypertube Junctions, and More
The upcomingSatisfactoryupdatewill also seemingly refine the game’s many modes of transportation, with the new teaser showing glimpses of Hypertube junctions and what appears to be some kind of elevator. A dynamic item counter for reading conveyor belt throughput will be part of the package as well, together with vertical splitters and mergers. Coffee Stain Studios' latest promo video also seems to be hinting at new concrete pillars, stackables, and wall vents, among other novelties.
New Features Showcased in Satisfactory’s 1.1 Update Teaser
The March 14 teaser ends with the reveal that much of its footage was captured using the latest version of the in-game photo mode, which is another newSatisfactoryimprovementthat’s set to roll out with the 1.1 update. It’s also the only 1.1 addition that Coffee Stain Studios has outright confirmed will be part of the upcoming patch so far. The update itself is still without a release date, although the developer previously mentioned it was aiming to launch it in early 2025. Assuming this release window is still valid, the 1.1 version ofSatisfactoryshould materialize no later than April 2025.
In the meantime, the Swedish developer is also still working onSatisfactory’s console ports, which were originally announced following the game’s 1.0 release in September 2024. More details on the PlayStation and Xbox versions ofSatisfactorymay emerge after the 1.1 update drops.
