The main quests inKingdom Come: Deliverance 2can be fairly long with many major steps involved in what would usually be a main story mission on its own in other games.Taking French Leaveis one of these quests where just the step of finding the secret passage can be difficult.
Using this secret passage is by far the safest way to reach Hans, but actually finding it can be fairly difficult. Here’s where to find the chapel, how to follow the crosses, and finally find the entrance to the secret passage.
Where To Find The Secret Passage In Taking French Leave (Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2)
After talking to Hashtal, the map will show a fairly wide area just southeast of his home for where the chapel can be. Headsouth to the left side of the large quest areaand just off the main road you’ll see a square stone structure with a hole in the middle. Looking through this will show you the remainder of the destroyed chapel, which can easily be walked straight to.
Once in the destroyed chapel, look to the left to see the remains of a destroyed bridge.Underneath the first section of the bridgewill be the first stone cross you need to find and follow. Stand on the cross and face just slightly to the right of north. Directly ahead will be a white tree you can see through the tree line, with that being your next goal. At the base of the white dead tree will be the next stone cross, this time facing just to the right of the northeast.
Directly ahead you’ll see a tree up on a hill, and as you approach it you’ll see the notification to examine the area, zeroing in on the small stone with a cross carved into it on the far side of the base of the tree. From here, take a few steps back and look directly at the ground to get the option to dig as long asyou have a spade. You’llalso need to bring a torchto see your way through the tunnel.
You don’t need to follow all the steps above and can instead head straight to the entrance of the secret passage, which is the last image in the gallery above.
Before Going To Maleshov To Finish Taking French Leave
Going through the secret passage will lock you into the next part of Taking French Leave, and you shouldn’t go unprepared. The rest of the quest isan at-night stealth mission, so you’ll want an outfit to help with that. If you don’thave a stealth outfit, you’ll want to prepare for a lot of fighting. While that is a solution to the quest, you’ll have to fight about fifteen armored guards to clear out the castle.
