Wolves and Foxes isone of the first quests from Naoe’s questlineinAssassin’s Creed Shadows, where players must help an Igan battalion fight off Mitsuhide’s battalion. Once the dust settled, Tokugawa extended his gratitude to Yasuke and Naoe for lending a helping hand in the battle. After the initial conversation, you’ll get a choice to either respond as Naoe, that they should be swift in their action, or Yasuke, that they should be patient. Let’s check out both of the outcomes of this encounter.
How to Start the Wolves and Foxes Quest in AC Shadows
After completingthe Before the Fall questinAssassin’s Creed Shadows, players willunlock the Wolves and Foxes questfrom Naoe’s questline. The quest requires Naoe to travel to the Little Leaf Glade area of the Yamashiro province to meet up with Tokugawa Ieyasu and defend Igan soldiers from Mitsuhide’s battalion.
When you arrive at the location, you’ll witness dozens of soldiers in the leaf glade battling Igan warriors. The first objective is toeliminate all the soldiersbefore talking to Tokugawa. Once all of Mitsuhide’s soldiers are eliminated, players will need to approach Tokugawa and talk to him.
Should You Be Patient With Tokugawa?
Tokugawa will be thankful for Naoe and Yasuke’s intervention in the battle that led to their victory. Soon after, Naoe learns that Tokugawa is opting to retreat from Mitsuhide’s rule with the help of Hattori Hanzo and will patiently wait for the right moment to strike. After this, players will get the dialog choiceto either respond with “We will be patient” by Yasuke or “Patience will not stop Mitsuhide” by Naoe.
Here’s the difference between both responses inAssassin’s Creed Shadows' Wolves and Foxes quest.
Choosing Yasuke’s Response “We Will Be Patient”
Yasuke will respond with his mother’s saying that “Haste leads to waste,” which Tokugawa will agree with. He’ll further explain his reasoning behind the plan and stress the fact that the aim is peace, and they’ll achieve it.
Choosing Naoe’s Response “Patience Will Not Stop Mitsuhide”
Naoe will respond to Tokugawa that the enemy (Mitsuhide) does not have the same ideology as he has got ahead with aggressive means. Similarly to the previous response, Tokugawa will again stress the fact that patience will be the key to winning the war.
So, both responses are nearly the same, except for a few different lines of dialog. The outcome of the Wolves and Foxes quest does not change based on the response and will progress normally in both scenarios inAssassin’s Creed Shadows.
