In33 Immortals, you play as a Rebel Soul journeying through the world Beyond with 32 other players. Each run is a frantic race to gather resources, collect Relics, and complete objectivesbefore your inevitable face-off against the main boss. As soon as the objectives are fulfilled, you’ll have to rush to the Ascension Battle arena to test your build against waves of monsters and elites.
As you progress through your run, you will have the opportunity to upgrade your three main Characteristics: Attack, Health, andEmpathy. While the first two are fairly self-explanatory, Empathy might leave many players scratching their heads. What does it do? Is it even worth investing in? In this guide, we’ll explainhow Empathy works in33 Immortalsand help you figure out whether it’s worth putting a few points into it.
How Empathy Works in 33 Immortals
Empathy, simply put, increases your synergy with fellow Rebel Souls.33 Immortalsisall about teamwork, and Empathy plays a central role in strengthening your ability to work together. Not only can you revive fallen allies in the game, but you can also trigger Co-Strikes for bonus crit chances or unleash powerful Co-Op Powers.
While Co-Op Powers are already strong, leveling up your Empathyboosts their effects even further. Here’s how eachweapon’s Co-Op Powerscales with Empathy:
In addition, Empathyreduces the time it takes for you to revive teammates. Your Shattering Soul maximum HP (the health you respawn with after being revived) also increases the more Empathy you have.
To increase Empathy during a run, defeat monsters to collect Dust. Once your Dust Vial is full, find a Dust Shrine on the map. Interact with it and hold F on the PC or the Right D-Pad button on the controller to consume your Dust, granting a +3 boost to your Empathy stat.
You can also increase your Empathy byequipping certain Perksor unlocking specific Major Feats in the Dark Woods.
Should You Level Empathy in 33 Immortals?
Yes,you should level Empathy at least a little. Even if you are running solo with random players, leveling Empathy gives your team a better shot at surviving mainboss encounters like Luciferor Adam and Eve. You’ll be using multiple Co-Op Powers during boss battles, and with a higher level of Empathy, you can get the most out of your abilities.
However, solely upgrading Empathy without investing in your other stats isn’t a great idea either. In terms of priority, it’s usually best to focus on Attack first, then Health, and finally start putting points into Empathy once your damage and survivability are in a good spot.
While it may not be the flashiest stat, Empathy in33 Immortalsmakes your team stronger. Faster revives can be a complete game-changer during Ascension Battles, and when you’re going up against Lucifer at the end of your run, you’ll need torely on your teammatesif you want to claim victory in33 Immortals.
