Ant King’s Otherworldly Powers and Abilities

Ant King was a bloodthirsty monster who appeared to look down on every living being he encountered. Driven by a desire to conquer and establish himself as the king, he was willing to ruthlessly murder indiscriminately. He wasborn just before the Jeju Island raid partyleft for the daunting mission, but despite being young, his aura was so strong that it enveloped the entire region when he let out a war cry.

Ant Queen knew that the resources on the islandwere depleting, and staying in the same place was no longer a sustainable option. Ant King was the leader she always wanted, and her son luckily had all the qualities that she desired in a ruler. While the island was teeming with countless magic beasts, no one possessed the unique powers that he was born with.

Gluttony: The Source of Ant King’s Exponential Advancement

As mentioned above, Ant King matured at an exceptional pace since his birth and was able to become one of the strongest dungeon bosses that humanity had to deal with. The source of his exponential evolution was an unusual ability known as Gluttony. It allowed him to devour any living organism to absorb its knowledge and powers.

After slaughtering Japanese hunters, when Ant King returned to Ant Queen’s lair and found her dead, he was overcome by rage and attacked the Koreans. During the violent beatdown, he severely injured most of them and killed healer Min Byung-Gyu. But Ant King did not stop there;he also ate Byung-Gyu’s head, following which he gained human speech and absorbed his healing capabilities.

In the blink of an eye, he transformed into a master healer and an erudite conversationalist who understood human nature. This was undoubtedly Ant King’s biggest strength, as it allowed him to evolve at a pace thatcould have rivaled even Sung Jinwoohad he been able to live long enough to kill enough victims. Luckily, Jinwoo fought him when he was quite young and was only beginning to understand the world he inhabited.

Lightning-Fast Movements: Ant King’s Frightening Agility

BeforeAnt King attacked the Korean hunters, he was outside Ant Queen’s lair targeting the Japanese groups one after another. What made his onslaught truly frightening was the speed at which he moved. Ant King was so fast that he would behead S-rank hunters even before they could sense his presence.

Even after he killed someone, their comrades struggled to figure out where the attack came from. The difference in the speed of top S-rankers and Ant King was so overwhelming that it almost appeared that the latter was toying with the former. Within a few minutes,Draw Sword Guild’sseven most talented hunters were dead, including their leader, Goto Ryuji. Destruction of such proportions was unheard of ever since the first S-rank Gate spawned on the West Coast of America.

Superhuman Strength: Overwhelming Powers That Consumed the Jeju Island Raid Party

Apart from being insanely fast,Ant King was also menacingly strong. When he targeted Korean hunters, he punched Cha Hae-In with such brute force that she flew off many meters away and collided with the dungeon walls, sustaining life-threatening injuries in the process. To be able to do something like that with just one punch, especially when the victim is one of the world’s top female hunters, goes to show Ant King’s raw strength.

Are there others? Others you call king? ~ Ant King

Unfortunately,Cha Hae-In was not the only victimof his superior power, others also faced the same fate. Ant King broke Ma Dongwook’s protective shield with a casual punch and tore his arms apart as if they were made of paper. Baek Yoonho, Choi Jong-In, and Lim Tae-Gyu also tried to stop the menacing dungeon boss but to no avail. In front of Ant King’s superhuman strength, they all seemed completely powerless.

As the secret boss of an S-rank dungeon, Ant King had all the qualities that he needed to thrive in a world where hunters were going to try to kill him. He would have thrived but had themisfortune of fighting Sung Jinwoojust a few days after his birth. Unfortunately, he never got to realize his true potential.
