Summary
Solo LevelingSeason 2 finally ended with its 13th episode. When the new season started airing, nobody could have guessed that it would become a global phenomenon. Thanks to theefforts of A-1 Pictures, Solo Leveling reached new heights and became one of the most popular anime series of the last decade.
The finale of the second season had many interesting moments, but none more so than the one involving Beru, Sung Jinwoo’s newest Shadow. Prior to the episode, fans were speculating about whether Sung Jinwoo would gain another power, but now, it can be put to rest.
Beru Is The First General Level Shadow
Sung Jinwoo’s Strongest Shadow To Date
In Solo Leveling Season 2 Episode 13, Sung Jinwoo used Awaken on the Ant King’s corpse and successfully extracted the Shadow. However, nothing could have prepared him for what came next. Unlike the other Shadows, the Ant King’s Shadow talked to Sung Jinwoo, leaving the hero surprised. It didn’t take long for the hero to learn that the Ant King’s Shadow held the rank of General, which is why he was able to speak. Sung Jinwoo also pointed out that he had never recruited someone who was on a similar level.
Sung Jinwoo was also cautious about recruiting the Ant King’s Shadow. So, the hero asked if it would still serve him even though he killed him. The Shadow stated that Sung Jinwoo hadn’t killed him but had been reborn by his hands. This was enough to convince Sung Jinwoo, and he named the Shadow, Beru.
Please grant me a name. —The Ant King
Beru followed Sung Jinwoo to the surface, where they looked at the ants attacking the Hunters. Sung Jinwoo commanded Beru to take out the ants, and the Shadow got to work immediately. It even saved Song from a potentially fatal attack.
How Strong Is Beru In Comparison To Others?
At The Moment, Beru Is The Strongest
Judging from its mannerisms, the Shadow appears to be much more subservient than anyone else that Sung Jinwoo had recruited. Beru addressed Sung Jinwoo as King and followed him around as his loyal Shadow.Since the other Shadows are unable to speak, it is exceptionally difficult to guess if they think the same of Sung Jinwoo and if they are just as loyal. Until the other Shadows somehow learn to speak, fans can just assume that Beru is a tad bit more loyal than the rest.
Moving on to Beru’s strength, it is safe to say that he is the strongest Shadow in Sung Jinwoo’s army. He is blisteringly quick, as evident from his ability to take down multiple ants in next to no time. Even S-rank Hunters were unable to keep up with Beru, which once again proves that he is insanely fast. When it comes to strength, Beru is once again superior to any Shadow in Sung Jinwoo’s army. His attack can cause serious injuries and leave the opponent mortally wounded.
While still alive, Beru was able to undergo a transformation that made him much more dangerous. He gained sharp claws on both hands, and his speed increased as well. Currently, it is unclear whether he can use the same transformation as a Shadow, but there is little reason to believe that he won’t be able to.
Beru Will Have An Important Role To Play In Solo Leveling Season 3
Since the second season ended almostimmediately after the Jeju Island arc, Beru didn’t get too much time to show off his strength. However, there will be more opportunities for him, especially in the third season. Since Beru can communicate with Sung Jinwoo, the latter might start relying on him frequently.
Solo Leveling Season 3 will see Sung Jinwoo start a new adventure. In the second season, the hero faced many dangerous opponents who pushed him to his limits. These challenges helped him grow stronger and gain new allies. After successfully beating an S-rank gate by himself, it seems that he has reached the peak of his powers, but there are many characters who are far more dangerous.
