Summary
Solo LevelingSeason 2 was full of exciting moments that will live on in the memories of fans for the years to come. Sung Jinwoo dominated the new season, and it’s hardly surprising considering he is the main protagonist of the series. Sung Jinwoo handled almost all the problems without exerting himself too much.
When Solo Leveling Season 2 released its finale, fans were understandably sad to see their hero leave them for at least a year or two. However,Sung Jinwoo wasn’t the only interesting thingabout the episode. Solo Leveling Season 2 finale introduced a lot of new characters, including a National Level Hunter.
Liu Zhigang The National Level Hunter
The National Level Hunter From China Makes His Debut
Liu Zhigang is the second National Level Hunter to be introduced in Solo Leveling (Thomas Andre was the first). He made a brief appearance in the season two finale, where he slaughtered hundreds of ants in a single strike. From his short cameo, fans were able to deduce that Liu Zhigang is not an ordinary Hunter, as even S-rank Hunters hadtrouble dealing with so many ants.
Liu Zhigang is clearly a strong individual who sits in a different bracket. The Hunter hails from China and is a master swordsman. Since Liu Zhigang’s cameo was brief, he didn’t get enough time to show off his complete strength, but that will change in the upcoming season.
Liu Zhigang’s Role In The Third Season
The National Level Hunter Will Be Involved In The New Season
Considering Liu Zhigang debuted in the season finale, it is plausible to assume that he will have a major role to play in the story. With improved screen time, it will be easier for fans to understand his character and learn about his powers. Liu Zhigang is of Chinese origin, which makes it even more likely for him to be involved in the story. The second season of the anime included several Japanese Hunters, and it makes more sense for the story to explore characters on the same continent before going elsewhere.
The third season of Solo Leveling will be just as good as the second, if not better.A-1 Pictures has handled the adaptation brilliantly, so there is absolutely zero reason for the studio to be changed. The main staff from the second season of the anime should also reprise their respective roles.
It will be interesting to see if Solo Leveling releases another compilation film before the third season. While most people will be happy with a third season, releasing a film is an excellent way to hype fans. Also, a compilation helps viewers to remember all the major incidents that took place in a particular season.
What Other Characters Will Be Involved In The New Season?
The new season of Solo Leveling will bring many other characters into the limelight. On top of that list is Sung Jinwoo, the main lead himself. After successfully hiding his actual strength in the first season, Sung Jinwoo knew that he couldn’t go on like this forever, which is why he got reassessed and became the newest S-rank Hunter from Korea.
As the main character of the series, Sung Jinwoo will be at the forefront of things. He has already made up his mind about pursuing a new challenge, and it will be covered in the third season.Aside from Sung Jinwoo, the otherKorean Hunters will also get some spotlight. Cha Hae-in has a lot of fans who will be eagerly waiting for her to recover and join the action. Choi Jong-in and Baek Yonhoo are two more Hunters who have been impressive since their debuts, so it is possible that they will be the focus of the new season.
Sung Il-Hwan is another character who needs more screen time, which is why he should be involved in the new season of the anime. He made an extremely short appearance in the first season but has been sidelined since. If he does appear in the third season, fans will hope that he reunites with his family.
