Summary

The seemingly endless battle between humanity and the Denizens of Chaos is at the heart of the story, driving the characters to make choices that shape their lives in complex ways. Throughout the series, countless magic beasts haunt humanity by unleashing a wave of destruction and death. Among them, these are arguably the strongest.
7Esil Radiru
Princess of the Radiru Clan
Esil Radiruis a princess who crossed paths withSung Jinwoo on the 80th floorof the Demon Castle, targeting his shadow army and significantly slowing his progress. But Jinwoo eventually figured out that she was behind everything and confronted her. After two of her knights were killed, Esil begged for her life and even tried to attack Sung when he appeared distracted.
Despite their initial mistrust, Esil and Jinwoo ended up forming a close bond after she agreed to help him find permits for every floor until they reached the dungeon boss’s lair. Radiru was astonished by Sung’s powers and watched in amazement as he cleared floor after floor without sustaining any injuries.
6Metus
Guide of the Departed Souls
Metuswas the ruler of the 75th floor of the Demon Castle and a powerful boss demon. He was a high-ranking necromancer and possessed enough power to summon an army of the undead.While he was an S-rank magic beast, he could barely put up a fight against an evolved Sung Jinwoo. When the two crossed paths, Metus was defeated quite easily.
5Vulcan
Second Boss of the Demon Castle
Ruler of the50th floor in the Demon Castle,Vulcanwas a greedy and strong demon-type magic beast. Despite being as tall as a building and morbidly obese, he could move with agility that surprised even Sung Jinwoo. Using his enhanced strength and endurance, he gave a good fight to Jinwoo but eventually lost.
4Kargalgan
Boss of Hunters Guild Gate
Kargalganwas a bloodthirsty and sadistichigh-orc shaman. As an average S-rank boss, he was quite strong and had mastered many powerful spells. When the Hunters Guild’s A-rank raid team arrived in his dungeon, he cast barrier magic to imprison the hunters inside.
Kargalgan planned to play with the hunters' lives and draw sadistic pleasure from their suffering. But before he could do that,Jinwoo intervened and defeatedthe Hunters Guild Gate boss. After his death, Kargalgan was added to Sung’s shadow army and named Tusk.
3Baruka
Boss of Red Gate
Barukawas an intimidating magic beastwho confronted Sung in the Red Gate. He was one of the few magic beasts who were stronger than Jinwoo when they met.
Despite being quite powerful already,Sung had to seek Igris' helpand turn A-rank hunter Kim Chul into Iron to defeat him. As an S-rank magic beast, Baruka was naturally quite strong and was able to withstand several of Jinwoo’s attacks without flinching.
2Ant King
Ant Queen’s Strongest Child
The secret boss of theS-rank dungeon on Jeju Island,Ant Kingwas an insect-type magic beast. He was extremely overpowered and managed to single-handedly slaughterJapan’s Draw Sword Guild’s seven top hunters within a few minutes. He might have murdered the entire Jeju Island raid party had Sung Jinwoo not arrived there on time.

Ant King was a special magic beast since he had a unique ability called Gluttony, which allowed him to devour any living organism and then absorb its powers and knowledge. Using Gluttony, Ant King learned the human language within a few minutesafter devouring Ming Byung-Gyu’s head.
If he had lived long enough, his ability to evolve at a frightening pace might have made him the most dangerous magic beast to have ever lived. Ant King had the misfortune of running into someone as strong as Sung Jinwoo just a few days after his birth. Even then, he showed that he was no pushover and forced his adversary to exert considerable effort to kill him.
1Kandiaru
The Architect
Kandiaruis an S-rank demonic specterand theboss of the Double Dungeon. He is also the moderator of the System, who created the magical program with devious motives that did not have Sung Jinwoo’s best interests at heart.
Kandiaru is so powerful that he almost killed the entire raid party that decided to explore the Double Dungeon. He appears to have a strange bloodlust for humans. When he maimed Sung Jinwoo and other hunters with him, Kandiaru appeared to draw sadistic pleasure from their torture.
Unlike most magic beasts, he is also quite intelligent and strategically created an entire magical program to serve his own sinister goals. He is the only dungeon boss in the anime who survived even after crossing paths with Jinwoo.
