Where to Find Speartuna Fin in Monster Hunter Wilds

The Speartuna Fish can most commonly be found inArea 13andArea 17of theScarlet Forestin theFallowseason during theMorninghours. The exact locations where the Speartuna appears are marked on the map above. Speartuna is impossible to mistake for anything else. It looks like a miniature Swordfish, and is bigger than all other fish in the water.

Sometimes—but not always—Speartuna fishing spots are indicated by rough waters. The location is easy to identify by the white foamy circle formed by the choppy waters (pictured above). The foamy water phenomenon is an indication that the Speartuna is there. However, it might not be immediately visible because the water isn’t crystal clear.

Speartuna only reacts to theTuff Joint Bait.Tuff Joint Bait is a quest-exclusive item obtained during theside-quest The Catch of a Lifetime, unlocked during Chapter 4. Talk to Kanya in the Scarlet Forest base camp when all previous fishing quests are complete, and you’ve progressed to Chapter 4 to receive the Tuff Joint Bait.

How to Change Season To Fallow

Players canchange the seasons and time of dayfrom the tent in base camp or in a pop-up camp. In the BBQ Menu, under ‘Grill a Meal,’ you will find the’Rest’option. Select it and choose ‘Fallow’ and ‘Morning.’ Do note, however, that every Rest costs 300 Guild Points.

The Rest option only appears after youreach High-Rank.

How to Catch Speartuna in Monster Hunter Wilds

The Speartuna is classified as a Whopper, which means catching it is different compared to regular fish. Players will need to tire it out, let the lure line go slack, and follow its movements before reeling it in. Here is the step-by-step process for what you need to do in order to catch one.

And that’s it, the Speartuna fish will be caught and you will have gained a Speartuna Fin.
