Flawless, an AI company,employed AI for “visual dubbing” using the movie’s actors.According toVariety, AI was used to ensure that the speech sounds good and that the actors' mouths move in a natural way. This was done in compliance with SAG-AFTRA rules, which is great to hear. The dubbing will make for a better moviegoing experience sinceit doesn’t involve subtitles.

The video compares scenes from the Swedish and English versions of the movie and audiences can see that the dubbing is natural and seamless.

When Is The Release Date For The Sci-Fi Movie Watch The Skies?
Watch the Skieswill be released on May 9th, 2025and, according toVariety, it will play on 100 AMC Theaters screens.
Producer Albin Pettersson, who co-founded Crazy Pictures, talked aboutWatch the Skiesin an interview withNordisk Film & TV Fond. Pettersson shared that the movie was inspired byan alien-focused documentary,Ghost Rockets, which focused on a group called UFO Sverige. He said of Denise:
“She looks for her dad and meets this new bunch of people at UFO Sweden who become her family.”
Pettersson continued:
“But indeed, our intention was never to do an alien invasion movie, with space ships…UFO Swedencombines everything we love - suspense, comedy elements and sci- spectacular parts from our favourite films and series. We were inspired for instance byStranger Thingsfor the hopeful tone, group of kids and cool elements. But of course, Steven Spielberg’sE.T., Close Encounters of the Third Kindand J.J. Abrams’Super 8were big inspirations.”
