David Production’s newest work is Onmyō Kaiten Re:verse.It is an original anime, which means it isn’t based off any other source. Fans who have watched the previous works of David Production know that there won’t be any compromise on the quality of animation. So, a lot of them will be eager to know when the new project will air. While an exact date has yet to be revealed, it has been confirmed that Onmyō Kaiten Re:verse will premiere in July 2025.
Onmyō Kaiten Re:verse Cast & Staff
Since the anime is being released in July 2025, most of the important details regarding the cast and staff have already been confirmed. Onmyō Kaiten Re:verse is being directed by Hideya Takahashi, who hasworked on JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind.
Hayashi Mori is in charge of the scripts while Kazuaki Morita is designing the characters. Katsuie Shibata is credited for world-building while Masahiro Tokuda is composing the music.
So far, three cast members have been disclosed.
Onmyō Kaiten Re:verse Has A Unique Story
Onmyō Kaiten Re:verse joins the growing list of anime originals. MAPPA hasalready aired an original anime titled Zenshu, which followed the story of a director who hits a mental roadblock. MAPPA’s new work did not get the level of reception that it was hoping for. However, the series has not been a flop either, and many fans have applauded the studio for taking a different approach.
David Production will be hoping that Onmyō Kaiten Re:verse will get positive reviews from the viewers. If it turns out to be a hit, it will give the studio the confidence to produce more original anime series.
Onmyō Kaiten Re:verse is set in an alternate version of Kyoto, and it follows a high schooler named Takeru Narehira, who is transported to the place after an accident. During his time in the alternate version, Takeru meets a woman whom he had previously seen in his dreams.
After a life-changing encounter, Takerulearns that he can go back in time. He puts together that he has the power to go back in time.
