Summary
Terrifier: The ARTcade Gameis getting a physical collector’s edition, which will be fairly content-packed. However, the availability of this special release will be limited—in more ways than one.
Terrifier: The ARTcade Gamewas originally announced in October 2024. The project is in development at Spanish studio Relevo and will be published by Barcelona-based SelectaVision’s SelectaPlay label. The game itself is a 2D pixel art beat-em-up that ties into theTerrifierlore, and is presently targeting a 2025 launch.
SelectaPlay has now announced a Collector’s Edition ofTerrifier: The ARTcade Game, which will be filled to the brim with goodies. Aside from a physical copy of the upcoming retro beat-em-up, the bundle will include a so-called “Puke” bag and two hard enamel pins featuringTerrifier’s Art the Clownand Vicky. A reversible poster will be part of the package as well, together with four character stickers and a physical art book. A premium collector’s case that fits the game’s box will also be included, together with a physical soundtrack and an instruction manual. The bundle will even feature a pair of light gray, bloody gloves. Unlike Art the Clown’s gloves, however, this pair won’t have the fingertips cut off.
Terrifier: The ARTcade Game Collector’s Edition Contents
The Collector’s Edition is now up for pre-order via thegame’s official website. SelectaPlay’s track record suggests that the bundle will only be available prior to the beat-em-up’s release. However, seeing howthis super-metaTerrifiergameis still without a concrete release date, that doesn’t exactly narrow it down much, other than indicating that the Collector’s Edition will only be on sale in 2025.
Another limiting factor to consider is platform availability.Terrifier: The ARTcade Gamewas initially only announced for the PS5 and PC, with SelectaPlay subsequently confirming the game was also in development for theNintendo Switch and Xbox Series X/S. However, the newly revealed physical Collector’s Edition will only be available for the PS5 and Switch versions of the beat-em-up. The PC and Xbox ports will hence seemingly be digital-only releases.
In terms ofwhat to expect fromTerrifier: The ARTcade Game, the upcoming title will be loosely based on the three slasher films that preceded it, but also feature its own meta story. The plot will see Art the Clown disruptTerrifiermovie sets by doing what he does best: killing everyone in a gruesome manner. The newly announced Collector’s Edition will even feature some exclusive digital content, including a Hardcore mode with an alternate ending, an Extra gallery, and an unspecified character skin.
