A Hero Fighting Against Human Invaders
There are few franchises, and no films, that have achieved the level of success thatAvatarhas already managedahead of the third film in the series even being released. Jake Sulley, having rejected his humanity in favor of remaining with the Na’vi, has been considered the hero of the series, but his wife, Neytiri, has gone through a lot in her fight against humans.
Zoe Saldana’s excellent performance as the huge blue alien shows how she has gone from peacemaker to fighter, proving herself fierce as a warrior and a loving mother, all while suffering unbelievable losses and basking in great victories against humanity in the fight to keep her homeland safe from their invasion.

The Ultimate Autobot
TheTransformersseries is another great franchise filled with heroic, and villainous, aliens who fight their wars against each other with humans often finding themselves in the crossfire.Optimus Primeis the greatest of the Autobots, and their leader, and he has proven himself worthy of this status over the years and across decades’ worth ofTransformersmovies.
Optimus Prime takes on tragic struggles as a leader, while also fighting in many battles and showing himself to be one of the best warriors in the history of his race or any other.Transformers Onewas the most recent reboot, and looked at his growth from a simple worker on his homeworld, Cybertron, into a great hero and leader, proving that he was always a hero within.

Heroes Across The Known Universe
One of the best superhero teams in the history of cinema has (barely) any humans among them.The Guardians of the Galaxymay have been formed and mostly led by Peter Quill, but he is the only human in their ranks (and only a half-human at that), with the rest of them being aliens from a variety of planets. They prove that traditional aliens who are very human-like aren’t the only ones who can be heroes.
Gamora, a deadly assassin (and another Zoe Saldana character), Drax, a lovable but headstrong warrior with a tragic past, and other colorful characters like Rocket and Groot. Together, the Guardians headlinedone of the best trilogies in the MCUto date, charmed audiences worldwide, and proved the directorial mettle of James Gunn before he took the reins at DC Studios.

The Lovable Monster Turned Hero
A lovable hero about to be reborn in live-action,Stitchis also known as Experiment 626, and he began life as a creation of the mad scientist, Jumbaa. Intended to be a creature capable of great devastation, Stitch broke out of an alien prison and came to Earth, where he miraculously crash-landed in Hawaii instead of in the ocean, which could have killed him.
Meeting Lilo changed Stitch, and proved that nobody has to become what they were meant to be; they can choose who they are.
