During the build-up to Season 6, developer Embark Studios made somebig announcements regarding the future ofThe Finals. The most notable reveal was thatThe Finalswill be making its way into the world of esports with a brand new Major tournament later this year. All players will be able to compete in the qualifiers for their chance to battle it out in the Major for a grand prize of $100,000. The event will take place in Q4 2025, with more details to come. Season 6 will also see various new features added to the game to support high-level competition, such as an upgraded spectator mode and new ranked tournament privacy settings.
Three months after the launch of Season 5, a brand-new contentupdate forThe Finalsis finally here. Season 6, also known as Rising Stars, is officially live on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. The size of the update will vary depending on the platform, with Steam users having almost an 8GB patch to download. According to the official patch notes, which can be found further down this article, Season 6 includes UI updates, weapon adjustments, map changes, gameplay improvements, bug fixes, and much more. The new season also sees Team Deathmatch arrive as a permanent base mode. The mode is available on Fortune Stadium, Seoul, SYS$HORIZON, Las Vegas, Kyoto, and Skyway Stadium.
Unfortunately, the introduction of Team Deathmatch means the removal of Bank It.The Finalsplayers will still be able to boot up a Private Matchif they want to play Bank It privately with friends, but Embark Studios has announced it will no longer be available in Quick Play. In the official patch notes for Season 6, Embark said that Bank It is the least played game mode inThe Finals, which means it struggles to populate games due to its lack of popularity. The developers went on to explain that Team Deathmatch has a similar gameplay style but has proven to be much more popular. The studio says that Bank It “may return” for events in the future, but it will no longer be a base game mode.
While Bank It will be sorely missed,Season 6 ofThe Finalsstill offers plenty of great content for players to enjoy. One of the main attractions for the new season will be the hard-hitting Minigun for the Heavy class. The weapon features a high rate of fire and a massive ammunition reserve for players to shred through their opponents. But the weapon’s sheer weight and size will slow players down drastically, so don’t expect to go anywhere quickly. Season 6 also introduces the new ARN-220 assault rifle for Light players and the CB-01 Repeater rifle for the Medium class. Further details on all three weapons can be found in the patch notes below.

TEAM DEATHMATCH IS HERE TO STAY
Team Deathmatch (TDM) is now a permanent Quickplay mode for Season 6. The 5v5 coinbath is back, and has expanded to six (yes, six!) Arenas, so you can now play it in:
Jump into Quick Play, fight for a leaderboard spot, and earn progression rewards (more on that below!) as you compete for fame, fortune, and Fans!
POWER SHIFT EXPANDS TO NEW ARENAS
Platform pushers rejoice! You can now smash your way through Bernal and Las Vegas Stadium for a fresh challenge!
Alongside some adjustments to platform mechanics, we hope our beloved Power Shifters will have an even better time in these new Arenas!

QUICKPLAY PROGRESSION
Starting today, whenever you play any of the Quickplay game modes: Quick Cash, Team Deathmatch, Terminal Attack, or Power Shift, you will earn Quickplay Points to increase your Quickplay Level, which you can advance over the course of the Season to get unique rewards!
You will earn points regardless of the match outcome (like World Tour), but victories will reward you with even more! Whether you are playing casually or grinding for the top, every match counts toward your seasonal progress!
