The First Berserker: Khazan: New Game Plus Explained

After defeating thefinal boss inThe First Berserker: Khazan, players will have the choice to begin NG+ or to continue their existing playthrough with the option to enter NG+ at any time later via the Phantom Blade NPC in the Crevice. Since players can freely replay any main and optional mission, and fight any boss again, the premise of a NG+ mode inThe First Berserker: Khazanmight seem redundant, but there are a handful of exclusive features that will only become available after entering NG+.

While it’s not exclusive to NG+, one reason why players may want to enter NG+ or NG++ is to achieve one of the three different endings inThe First Berserker: Khazan, which can alter the final boss fight.

What Carries Over Into NG+ In The First Berserker Khazan?

Some of the most notable things that won’t carry over into NG+ inThe First Berserker: Khazanare the Blade Nexus checkpoints and players’ progress in the main and optional missions. However, certain progression systems and NPC services that players unlocked during their first playthrough will automatically be available at the beginning of a NG+ playthrough, without the need to redo the related side mission. This notably includes: attribute rolling andgear crafting inThe First Berserker: Khazan.

NG+ will offer an increased challenge overall, though players will be able to overcome thisdifficulty curve inThe First Berserker: Khazanwith a variety of new and improved buildcrafting tools. For starters, the level cap will be raised, and legendary tier armor and weapons will become available. There will also be new skill tree upgrades for players to unlock, including both active and passive skills, some of which build upon Khazan’s Phantom Mode ability by giving players more ways to manage and spend their Phantom Mode Energy.

Transmog for armor and weapons is currently only available in NG+. However, this feature will soon be available for players on their first playthrough in afuture update forThe First Berserker: Khazan, along with other changes and new QoL features.

For players who want the turnThe First Berserker: Khazan’s difficulty up to the max, completing NG+ will unlock NG++. This mode may not introduce any new exclusive features beyond what is already available in NG+, though it will generally increase the difficulty even further, while also raising the max level and Lacrima drop rates accordingly.
