The new patch, released on July 08, 2025, covers a lot of different aspects of running a business. Some of the simpler fixes include ensuring that the names of purchased businesses are displayed correctly, displaying the number of servings when selling food, and making the employee section on the Career Panel minimizes correctly. Also,Ghosts inThe Sims 4will no longer automatically show up as customers, though if a player wants to continue seeing them there, they can adjust the setting under the Occult Target Customer options.

There are also some fixes toSims 4classesand masteries included in the new update. One problem with the Hobby Whiteboard has been resolved, which will no longer allow the lessons taught by employees to be unintentionally erased when a player saves or loads the game or travels to a different area with the selected Sim. Additionally, the Skillful Sleep Skill Mastery Perk, which generates a ghostly version of a Sim and has them use items to build up skills while the actual Sim rests, has been adjusted to force the ethereal body double to have a better focus on skill building.

The new update also addresses a major problem withburglars inThe Sims 4. Prior to the patch, some burglars invading small businesses had been walking away with certain items that players had no way of adding back into household inventories, including toilet stalls. The new patch should prevent these unfortunate instances from happening in the future. And while burglary will still be an issue that business-owning Sims have to deal with, the patch should prevent normal customers and patrons from walking through the front door after a business' scheduled closing time or watering the plants.
