The Sinking City 2’s Kickstarter Campaign Launches March 6

Thanks to protagonist Charles W. Reed’s detective work in the original entry,The Sinking Citywas quickly regarded as one ofthe best games for players who love conspiracy theories. However, the sequel boasts a standalone story set in 1920s Arkham (not to be confused with DC’s Arkham Asylum fromBatman) during the aftermath of a supernatural flood. Eldritch monsters are promised to return and flaunt more horrific detail after being created in Unreal Engine 5, and fans will even be able to bag a figure of the sequel’s fish creature within the Collector’s Edition.

Since the sequel is possibly eyeing a 2025 release, six years after the debut of its predecessor, horror fans hopeThe Sinking City 2improves on the original’s technical difficulties, as some noted the game’s frustrating performance issues. Since Unreal Engine 5, Epic Games’ latest version of the 3D computer graphics engine, is fueling the successor, players are hopeful Arkham gameplay runs seamlessly, especially since the sequel is said to focus more on combat.
