Summary

The Wheel of TimeSeason 3 has started with exceptional storytelling. The first two episodes are enough to engross viewers in the mystical world of Aes Sedai, the Dragon Reborn, and other brilliant characters. However, things are getting darker with each passing minute and there is a lot at stake and every moment feels like something is closing in on them, like a storm gathering on the horizon, ready to break and sweep everything away.

The second episode of thePrime Videoseries ended with how Rand’al and the group reached Aiel Waste and were discovered by one of the clans there. The clan was the same to which Aviendha belonged. Egwene came face to face with the old woman who came in her dream and told her that she didn’t belong to this place. However, the third episode is all about everyone thinking about how they can accomplish their missions, and getting their hands on the Dragon Reborn.

Lanfear proposes alliance, while Elayne and Nynaeve interrogate Black Ajah

Episode 3, titledSeeds of Shadow, begins in the dimly lit hall, where Lanfear met Lord Gabriel and Sammael. Lord Gabriel regarded Lanfear and Sammael with barely concealed contempt, reminding them that they had not learned from their past mistakes. The last time they underestimated their enemies, the Dragon Reborn had slipped through their grasp, and now history threatened to repeat itself. Lanfear, however, was unfazed, shifting the conversation toward Moghedien. She explained that their fellow Forsaken was already maneuvering in the shadows, intent on striking at Sammael first, recognizing him as the weakest among them.

From there, she would climb the ladder, eliminating them one by one. Rather than let that happen, Lanfear proposed an alliance, urging them to stand together before Moghedien gained the upper hand. Gabriel listened but pointed out that others, like Graendal and Semirhage, would demand to be included. They had already been slighted by Lanfear’s decision to leave them out, and ignoring them further would only create more fractures in their ranks.

Meanwhile,Elayne and Nynaeve took turns interrogatingthe two captured Black Ajah sisters, questioning them separately to break their resolve. Nynaeve made it clear that only the one who provided the most useful information would be allowed to live, her voice cold with determination. The first to crack revealed how the Black Ajah was structured into “hearts,” small groups of three who knew each other’s identities, with each having contact with another sister in a different heart.

Pressed further, she admitted that Liandrin had gone to Tear to aid one of the Forsaken and take control of Callandor, but Elayne immediately dismissed the plan, reminding her that only the Dragon Reborn could wield it. Meanwhile, Joiya, the second captive, claimed that Liandrin was searching for Mazrim Taim, a former False Dragon. When Nynaeve demanded proof, Joiya, once of the Grey Ajah, simply stated that she could read situations—and she knew they would kill her.

Elayne and Nynaeve sat in tense silence, replaying Black Ajah’s words. Both prisoners had lied—neither mentioned the stolen objects Nyomi had taken, especially the ancient bracelet, a powerful relic older than anything they had seen. Elayne suspected it came from Tanchico, leading her to believe that Liandrin had gone there. As they discussed their next move, a sudden chill ran through them before a gray man lunged from the shadows. The struggle was brief, but the attempt on their lives confirmed their suspicions. With no time to waste, they resolved to go to Tanchico themselves.

Rand’al is haunted by Lanfear again, while Liandrin makes her way to Tachinco

On the other hand,Moiraine, Rand al’Thor, and their group journeyed into the harsh, sun-scorched expanse of the Aiel Waste alongside their Aiel escorts. They came across the scattered bodies of fallen travelers. The sight was grim—lifeless forms slumped against the dry earth, their wounds deep and precise. Lan studied the injuries carefully, his sharp eyes recognizing the deception. These were not sword wounds, as they first appeared, but spear thrusts, deliberately made to mimic the cuts of a blade. The realization settled heavily among them. This was the work of the Shaido Clan, their brutal warning left for any who followed.

A few moments later, Rand al’Thor found himself once again trapped within a dream, the air thick with a presence he had come to recognize. Lanfear stood before him, her beauty as ethereal as ever, but her eyes held something different this time—an unspoken urgency. She whispered that there was a way for her to be free, a way to sever the dark oaths that bound her. If the Dark One were killed, she might be able to escape his grip. But before Rand could press her for more, the dream began to dissolve. A knowing smile played on her lips as she faded away, leaving him with more questions than answers.

Liandrin arrived in Tanchico under the cover of night, slipping through the city’s winding streets until she reached a lavish wedding ceremony. The groom, a wealthy noble, barely looked older than thirty, but Liandrin recognized his bloodline instantly. He was the great-grandson of the man she had once called husband, centuries ago. Rage flared within her—his ancestor had betrayed her, and now, his descendant would pay the price. With a flicker of the One Power, she ended his life in an instant. The young bride, wide-eyed and terrified, was spared.

How did the episode end?

Elsewhere, Perrin learns that the White Cloaks have taken away Na’ati with them, and, in return, they need Perrin. Perrin stood before the gathered people of the Two Rivers, his voice firm as he told them he was ready to turn himself in if it meant saving Na’ati from the White Cloaks. But the villagers—worn yet defiant—refused. They had lost too much already, and giving him up would not end their suffering. They wanted him to leave, to escape before it was too late. But Perrin would not back down. His golden eyes burned with determination as he urged them to fight, to stand together instead of cowering. If they united, they could make the White Cloaks regret ever stepping foot in their home.

The episode ended with Mat practicing fighting moves with a big wooden stick, and Elayne’s brothers teasing him about it. They challenged him for a match and Mat showed them his real potential. He defeated them in the fight and told Nynaeve that he was coming to Tachinco with her and Elayne.
