Following thepopularity ofTony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2in 2020, developer Iron Galaxy will be releasing a combined remake of the third and fourth games in the series. Earlier this month, it was reported thatMargera would be omitted from Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4even though he had been a member of the cast of both of the original games. Margera’s skateboarding skills, along with his popularity garnered on MTV prank showsJackassandViva La Bam, made him a popular figure in those games, and while Activision and Iron Galaxy made no official comments, the public controversy following him throughout his career was likely a factor behind why he was left out of the roster reveal. However, according to a report fromVGC, a recent members-only episode of The Nine Club podcast included a comment from co-host Roger Bagley stating that Hawk personally contacted Activision and demanded, despite the publisher’s protests, that Margera be body scanned and added into the remake. This conversation reportedly happened after Iron Galaxy had already put the finishing touches on the game.
