The Knightling, developed by Twirlbound and published by Saber Interactive, is set for release on June 10, 2025, and features many elements that resemble Nintendo’s popularThe Legend of Zeldafranchise. In it, players will step into the shoes of an aspiring knight searching for their missing mentor. The character starts only equipped with a shield and must navigate an open world to prove themselves worthy of being called a hero. During the knight’s journey, players will explore different regions filled with secrets, as well as bandits and monsters roaming the lands.

What is The Knightling’s Release Date?

Players will be able to upgrade and improve the knight’s arsenal and skills while taking on missions to help citizens. They will also engage in combat against enemies, utilizing the shield’s capabilities, such as blocking, parrying, and performing combos—similar tomechanics seen inBreath of the Wild, though the game’s trailer showcased a more frenetic combat style compared to Nintendo’s beloved franchise.

In addition to combat mechanics,The Knightlingfeatures an art style similar toZelda’s cel-shading graphics, and its open-world landscapes bear some resemblance to the franchise as well.
