A mixture of Romantic Comedy and Urban Fantasy,Witch Watchnarrates the tale of how a young witch who has been training in seclusion arrives at the big city. The problem is, that as with any witch, she needs a ‘custodian’ of sorts, or in this case, a ‘familiar.’ Enters Morihito Otogi, who is an Oger (Oni) living among common humans, and is quite pleased with his uneventful life drinking coffee and being a normal student.
Everything comes crashing down when his father announces that he is to resume the family tradition of watching over witches assigned to their clan, and the girl she needs to take care of is Nico Wakatsuki, a powerful though clumsy witch-in-training who will make his life both lovely and miserable from day one.
