Just a couple of weeks after the release ofWarriors: Abyss, Koei Tecmo announced the game will receive a new update as well as a new playable character in March. On Twitter, Koei Tecmo detailed this new March update, highlighting some of the improvements players can enjoy. The biggest improvement increases the odds of players finding unique weapons in mission reward chests, makesWarriors: Abyss' Formationsmore accessible, and the game’s performance will also be boosted on Nintendo Switch. Currently, there isn’t a specific date for the next update, but it would make sense for the update to be rolled out sooner rather than later.

Warriors: Abyss Reveals March Update and Mystery Character

As for the new character, Koei Tecmo followed up its original March update tweet with aPokemon-style tease of the mystery hero’s silhouette. Accompanying the image is a quote presumably from the character that reads “To quell Gouma and his rebellion, I’ll need the help of more than just the heroes of Jin.” Some fans believe the character is from Koei Tecmo’sAtelierfranchise, with one Redditor noticing that Koei Tecmo added a black square to the silhouette, and that the character isRyza fromAtelier Ryza: Ever Darkness and the Secret Hideout. Players will be able to find out who this mystery character is for certain onceWarriors: Abyss' March update rolls out.

It seems that, with a wealth of franchises and characters to pull from, Koei Tecmo is planning on adding even more faces toWarriors: Abyss’already massive 100-hero roster, and players should be able to expect even more heroes in the future. Some fans want to see more popular Koei Tecmo characters come toWarriors: Abyss. PerhapsNinja Gaiden’s Ryu Hayabusawill make an appearance in the game asNinja Gaiden 4nears its release later this year.
