Coinciding with the end ofInvincibleseason 3,Fortnitehas released its second wave of crossover cosmetics for the Prime Video series.Allen the Alienand Dupli-Kate now both have skins, emotes, back blings, and harvesting tools in the game. The existing Invincible skin also received an edit style as part of this wave that allows players to change him into his black and blue outfit.
After two collabs and even aFortniteEaster egg inInvincibleseason 2,FortniteandInvinciblehave shown just how keen they are to work together time and time again. Thanks to the continued success ofInvincibleand confirmation of a fourth season, the chances of anotherFortnitecollab seem high. With so manyInvinciblecharacters that have yet to make theirFortnitedebut, alongside the potential for numerous alternate styles for Marc based on his alternate universe variants, it could be worth it for Epic Games to pull from the franchise yet again.
The Best Candidates for Future Fortnite Skins
Given the number ofcharacters in theInvincibleuniverse— and multiverse —Fortnitewill have no short supply of options for a future wave of cosmetics. There are plenty of heroes, villains, and plenty of alternate versions of Invincible that would make for great skins. However, the following characters make the most sense both stylistically and narratively going off of the most recent season.
Battle Beast
If ever there was a character who would enjoy participating in a Battle Royale, it’s Battle Beast. Also known as Thokk, Battle Beast is an alien warrior with an unquenchable thirst for combat. He travels the galaxy, picking fights in the hopes that one of his opponents will give him the worthwhile fight that he craves.
Battle Beast has already been set up to return inInvincible’s next season, and his role in the series will only grow from there. Besides relevance in the series, Battle Beast would also make a greatFortniteskin.Fortniteloves its anthropomorphic animal skins, and the cell-shaded nature of his character would make a Battle Beast skin stand out. The character also has a variety of weapons that would make for easy harvesting tools and back blings.
Conquest
Despite having a minimal presence in the season as a whole, Conquest stole the show inInvincible’s season 3 finale. The towering Viltrumite, voiced by Jeffrey Dean Morgan, wreaked havoc while fighting Invincible, Atom Eve, and Oliver. His personality and brutality made his battle one of the most memorable fights in the entire series.
Conquest would make for a great skin inFortnite. His design is memorable thanks to his robotic arm and facial scar, and since most of the currentInvincibleskins are heroes, having a true villain in the game would help add some variety to the collection of cosmetics. While Conquest doesn’t have any gear could be turned into a harvesting tool, giving him a heart like the one he made out of his blood as a back bling would be a fun reference to one of the only moments of levity from his time on screen.
Robot
Robot was the leader of Teen Team before eventually going on to join the Guardians of the Globe after Omni-Man wiped out the previous roster. Though he aspires to make the world a better place, his morals are less rigid than other heroes in the cast. Actions like working with the Mauler twins to clone Rex Splode without his consent make Robot one ofInvincible’s most complex and intriguing characters.
Robot is an important character in the show and will only grow in importance asInvinciblecontinues to adapt from the comics. Adding him in a thirdFortnitecrossover wave seems like a no-brainer. He has an iconic design that stands apart from the other Invincible skins, and he could have customization options like a maskless edit style and eventually a color palette swap.
