PowerWash Simulator 2was announced with a brand-new trailer, alongside the news that FuturLab will now self-publish the game without the help of Square Enix Collective. The trailer is only 38 seconds, meaning that it doesn’t offer up too much for the game’s excited fans. Even still, the franchise still managed to showcase its share of gameplay, offer plenty of shenanigans featuring the franchise’s signature gnomes, and confirm an impending 2025 release window.
The trailer begins withPowerWash Simulator’s mascot gnomeshopping repeatedly on a large red button to reveal the logo for the upcoming game. The trailer then cuts into some small snippets of gameplay showcasing some of the new title’s locations before concluding with the gnomes hiding in boxes while a shadowy figure enters the room, indicating that the sequel intends to offer more story and expand on the first game’s surprisingly detailed lore.
PowerWash Simulator 2 Adds Home Base, New Soap Mechanics
So far, FuturLab has only confirmed a few new features and concepts for the game, but the developer has confirmed thatPowerWash Simulator 2will feature 38 different levels this time around. This is the same number of levels as the first PowerWash Simulator game, which featured 18 vehicles and 20 proper locations to clean.PowerWash Simulator 2will also feature a new home basefor players to unwind at, a move not too dissimilar to what a game like House Flipper offers.
Alongside the announcements of features such as a stronger story focus and improved visual effects, FuturLab has also indicated that the new game will feature some major changes to the previous game’s soap mechanics. The developer notes that the new game will allow players to apply soap to help soften dirt regardless of how stubborn it appears. Players will then be able to easily remove the dirt with any nozzle they choose, making the surfaces sparkle even brighter.

One of the most notable changesPowerWash Simulator 2will be offering is a brand-new split-screen co-op mode. WhilePowerWash Simulatorpreviously offered a multiplayer option, it was only playable online and offered no crossplay option. Now, though, players can enjoy couch co-op gameplay inPowerWash Simulator 2, and players who enjoy the online portion of the game will get to share their campaign progression with those they play with.
